  1. CYBERTRUCK >> CYBERSTOGA Modification SUV CAMPER DELIVERY

I’m confused by the “stoga” word. What does it mean in English? Because in Norwegian it could literally mean a cabin or a living room, which is suspiciously fitting.
  2. Elon Musk: Tesla Cybertruck electric pickup will be able to power a camper

Yes, it would be very welcome on such a big battery pack. The Nissan Leaf has been optionally delivered with it since 2016 and it is a noted feature on all of the new Hyundai Ioniq 5s. It will be standard in the industry, I just hope the CT was planned with it (and not just the sockets in the bed).
  3. Canoo electric truck

I don’t like the term “minimalism” though, because it has been twisted to almost come to mean square decoration, undecorated walls or less furniture in homes. But I see what you mean. I’ll check out Loos too! The Ioniq 5 was really surprising from Huyndai, I almost thought it had to be the...
  4. Canoo electric truck

Sort of a cross between a VW Bus and a Spitfire. I guess collaborating with famous naval architect Sterling Burgess lead to a very aerodynamic droplet shape but I wouldn’t want to brake too hard in it by the looks of it. Speaking of which, Pininfarina and Bertone were very successful...
  5. Canoo electric truck

The architect caricature is that they tend to like design icons or just something new and very different (or ecological) isn’t it? Well, the shape of the Canoo is (a proven) classic and not that unique from a car design point of view, more a technological evolution than a revolution although...
  6. Canoo electric truck

Jalopnik is amazingly consistent when it comes to Tesla. I think the Canoo is great too. Would be fantastic to see (and breath around) many of them zipping around, but I’m personally more into the lovechild of the mars rover and a Lamborghini Countach with a hormonal syndrome. (CT).
  7. Starlink coming to Cybertruck?

When building railroad tunnels we simply put use what we call a «beam cable» (dont know in English) along the inside of the tunnel connected to antennas on the outside (+electronics). The trains then can provide uninterrupted wifi to the passengers. Not topic, but for the curious: The signal...
  8. Custom license plate / vanity plate name for your Cybertruck?

It’s possible but very uncommon where I live, so I wouldn’t want one in order to stay a bit more anonymous. Had it been more common it would have been another matter.
  9. Electric Snowmobile

Depends on how far and on what roads you’re going, but I don’t think the business end is especially heavy on it so might just tie it in the front and leave the CT open in the back? My father had a gasoline snowmobile on a too small trailer (including a snowmobile trailer on its side).
  10. Who Else is Hoping for a Redesign for Wife's Acceptance?

My wife knows to just say “ok” to get out of me nerdily starting an intense wordflow to convince her over to my side which will only lead to her agreeing anyway when she gets other things to do. She put dibs on our Model 3 though. She’s worried about the attention the CT will get and the...
  11. GMC shows off Hummer EV “CrabWalk” feature in real-world conditions

I know all Porsches including the Taycan EV are available with rear axle steering, and the “Turbo S” level comes with it standard I believe. Probably on the new taller Cross Turismo EV too. I don’t think you can “crab walk” with them but crudely said they turn opposite of the front at low speeds...
  12. Study: Tesla's Range, Performance, Styling Attract Buyers, Musk Detracts

I’ll be honest and say the cult of personality around the Steve Jobs on meth at the wheel of my favorite car company is getting really old. I don’t think he’ll run it into the ground though.
  13. Carjacking and the Cybertruck [LOCKED: NO POLITICS!]

Not to be political but maybe I can offer a perspective regarding some assumptions made here (skip post if tired of Norway or think it’s irrelevant): Not that I haven’t fought in a dark alley before, but guns are used for hunting here in Norway and not even cops walk around armed with guns...
  14. Canoo electric truck

Doesn’t have the sexiness of the CT, but yes looks like it could easily be customized to a long range of commercial customers.
  15. Canoo electric truck

Might be vaporware but what do you good people think of the preliminary features and look? https://www.reuters.com/article/us-autos-canoo-evs-pickup/ev-startup-canoo-plans-to-roll-out-american-built-pod-like-electric-pickup-in-2023-idUSKBN2B3010
  16. EV charging at sea

Just found it fascinating that Fjord Line’s (famous for cruise ships and ferries running on natural gas) new car and passenger catamaran which this summer is set to operate between Kristiansand, Norway, and Hirtshals, Denmark, (in just 2 hours 15 min travel time) has room for 404 cars (+1200pax)...
  17. Autonomous Electric Trucks Could Disrupt Rail and Transform Logistics

I understand rail hasn’t been in focus in the US for a long time. My answer was probably very euro-centric. The railroad I’m building these days is 250km/h in three directions from Oslo through up to 11 cities in each direction. It’s very popular. I did say “as long as rail is double the speed...
  18. Autonomous Electric Trucks Could Disrupt Rail and Transform Logistics

I dont see people-carrying rail go away. It’s very efficient around in urban environments, and in to and out from the big city, especially if traffic increases because of more freight on the roads, and smog-filled cities open only to EVs which will increase in amount. As long as the long range...
  19. Autonomous Electric Trucks Could Disrupt Rail and Transform Logistics

Too much milk (or anything) will kill you, yet some amount is still healthy and necessary for you. There’s never been a truly capitalist state and there’s never been a truly socialist state. There’s extreme cases in both directions of people claiming to be though. Unfortunately the job of...
  20. Update VOTE: Should we do a “Cybertruck Lightbar "Wave"?”

In my experience people wave or make a finger sign when you’re out on really rural roads, walking in the woods or in the mountains, on the sea, and if youre driving a Citroën 2CV and see another (like my mother drove with a hanging flower case on the back). (Hers was red though). The hippie...
