Update: This is the black anodized version of my L-Track To Anything Adaptor (LTTAA). Got it made by SendCutSend.com using the AI parts design tool. They offer many color options in anodized or powder coat. It was a real struggle to decide between anodized and powder coat. The price was...
I have a 6-foot ladder that’s 75 inches long when folded, which I frequently take on jobs. I needed a way to position it at an angle so it would fit with the CT tonneau cover closed, while still allowing me to access my smuggler’s compartment (which I use as a tool box). This is what I came up...
Same here. My wife does not like this at all. "Make it stop!" But not being able to set the speed to the correct value for the posted speed limit - is the most annoying thing to me. 20 mph school zones are actively enforced in my town. FSD thinks it's 25 and okay to drive 30. I disengage and...
I had a similar experience. The week before my invitation for non-foundation series came up, a buddy let me drive his Foundation CB for a day. The steering took me by surprise. It was so amazing. I think the way it makes the truck drive "smaller" is one of its best features.
Now with FSD and the CT, 10 hours or more of driving I start considering flight. But the distance to my airport adds about 90 minutes which easily gets me 100 miles closer to my destination. Once unsupervised FSD works and is legal, I think only oceans to cross will make me want to fly. :)
There are probably a half dozen threads on the failing PCS issue.
Here are a couple plus a link to a petition for Tesla to extend the warranty.

Here's a new wrinkle for me. In my neighborhood the speed limit is 20. The CT FSD and UI seem to be unable to read the sign, located just as you enter the neighborhood. I thought it was because the sign (standard) is framed in wood to look nice. I had decided this was just a AI learning...
That is my understanding. Mine is being replaced as we speak. Tesla gave me a loner MX for the day. I have to say FSD is a bit smoother, than on the CT (not too surprising ) but it has the same dry wipe behavior which was surprising. I miss the rear view and bumper cameras. But there is a...
Here is an example of Tesla refunding money for out-of-warranty PCS repair.
"Great news! They refunded almost six thousand dollars. I'm very happy now"

I haven't been in the situation of towing in the mountains at -4 degrees to get to the next stop, but I have discovered at least for my style of driving, the trip planner is a little conservative. I've found that if I dial it down to arrive at 5% charge and drive at 75 or less I have 8% when I...
Yes, the way I read it the PCS would degrade first if you were lucky, before the drive unit went out and you are stranded on the highway. But it looks like the problem with the PCS is much wider than this recall which only covered vehicles up to July of 2024. Mine was October 2024. Went out...
