My CT jolt when it saw skid marks, especially long ones made by immature drivers. i hope 14.3 eliminate this issue.

I assume it's a side-effect of Tesla working on pothole avoidance. Here's a long tar patch that my CT avoided near Mammoth Lakes, CA. Similar to a long skid mark.

This was something I had mentioned before in an older thread. It's definitely jarring and a tad bit scary when it shifts into another lane or shoulder without any heads up. I have noticed this happens more on "Standard" FSD profile rather than "Hurry". Give that a go and let me know if it happens on this profile.

Yes, it does in FSD14 and that behavior was truly annoying to me and frightening to my wife when it repeatedly swerved around skid marks on my 2024 CT.

Maybe they’ll fix it. Maybe not.

The developers drive mostly in the San Francisco and Austin areas, and those road and traffic conditions are just not representative of much of the rest of the nation.

I traded my 2024 CT last month for a 2026 CT that came loaded with FSD13. I will not update it to what I consider as the major failure of FSD14. FSD13 may not be as autonomous or E2E for driveway to driveway, but it’s a whole lot more stable- no crazy swerves, no phantom stops, and best of all, I can use FSD again on rural roads and neighborhood streets as I can precisely set an accurate, safe and legal speed for real world conditions with the scroll wheel, without depending on the (imo) myriad major failures of the ‘speed profile‘ system.

It’s so much more driver friendly and way more relaxing to be able to Independently control speed and level of assertiveness.

Tesla had it right with an amazingly successful and useful driver assist system in FSD13. Now they are pushing a buggy not quite autonomous FSD14. For me FSD14 is not an improvement and I’m delighted to have FSD13 back.

Maybe they‘ll get better in FSD15. I think they are ahead of the time when autonomous driving will really work outside geofenced areas. But until they release version where the driver can precisely control speed again like with the scroll whee, I’m sticking with FSD13.

West Georgia back roads are full of these. Rocket only does it sometimes. Depends on sunlight in the area.

Same here. My wife does not like this at all. "Make it stop!" But not being able to set the speed to the correct value for the posted speed limit - is the most annoying thing to me. 20 mph school zones are actively enforced in my town. FSD thinks it's 25 and okay to drive 30. I disengage and report it about once every two weeks.

It isn’t just Cybertrucks. My 2023 Model S and the wife’s 2025 Model Y do the same thing.

I’m hoping next Spring when my Cybertruck arrives, this issue will be fixed, along with the wipers coming on by themselves all the time!
