Definitely does not frighten me I was just pointing out that even it the steel did rust and age a bit as some in the media were saying i would be fine with it because aged steel can look really cool.
But as @LowPoly has pointed out that the stainless steel will last a long time and not change...
Shame, but I'm fine with it remaining the same also. I made this thread in response to all the people in the mainstream media panicking about rust and aging of the steel. For me the aging would be cool but it already looks awesome as it is.
I don't know if I'm even that bothered by scratches, I kind of want my Cybertruck to look like its millennium falcon "gone from one side of the galaxy to the other".
Where i am going to have mine is on a dry tropical island along the equator, lots of salt and volcanic dust in the air, things...
Don't know if its just me but the reports of a bit of rust on the stainless steel don't really bother me, I actually think that the steel could end up looking extremely cool with a bit of weathering.
Look at some of these images of older stainless steel I would love this kind of aesthetic on...
So my cybertruck when i finally get it is going to be in a volcanic island environment that looks like the image below (this is an actual photo of where I live) I think the best choice would be to keep the original colour maybe just with a clear wrap to prevent fingerprints. Anyone have any...
Really hoping that by the time the truck gets to Europe that there will be an upgrade in range. See a lot of people online saying that there are likely to be incremental improvements the question is will tesla implement them right away or wait so as not to anger the people who were early...
Have to say as much as Iove the cybertruck and will definitely still be taking delivery his range is really poor when compared to standard ICE pickup trucks.
For an F150 ICE for example 23 gallon tank will get you 400-500 miles easily and if you get the 36 gallon tank you will get 770 miles...
When the first IPhone came out a broad section of the public had a similar reaction because it "looked weird" and had no keypad.
Look how that worked out
This guy snuck into a tesla employee gathering and found out some very interesting info about the cybertruck. Most interesting for me is with regards to Europe.
Apparently Elon has told his legal team to make sure that it can get to Europe. The main concern is pedestrian safety.
I´m thinking that this car might never be officially released in Europe because of the INSANE EU pedestrian safety standards. Given that I´m thinking about if i can change my delivery location or order to the US and then just ship it to Europe directly and see if I can get around the rules...
Someone who got to test drive a cybertruck talked about it on a twitter spaces gave some interesting feedback
Here is the link . The discussion about the cybertruck starts about 2:00:30 in.
A few takeaways
He drove a TRI motor called it the plaid
"the frunk is fucking huge" he was able to...
For the record I think that tesla cars are amongst the safest cars out there and the cybertruck will be possibly the safest car ever. But I do think the lack of door handles is an unfortunate safety black mark in what is a nearly perfect car.
Tesla’s pop-out handles blamed for death after...
