It's totally okay if you don't understand the engineering behind a charge curve, man. Between your Model Y and Cybertruck, you definitely know those long wait times well though! If you're happy waiting 40 minutes at the plug, that's all that matters. Safe travels out there! š
Sorry, not sure what this means. But I hope you enjoy to continue making excuses for Tesla and the Cybertruck's outdated and poor (by today's standards) charging performance.
Imagine convincing yourself that thermal throttling to 100kW is a feature rather than outdated tech. Calling superior engineering 'stressful' to excuse a 40-minute charge time is an elite level of coping. Itās wild to watch people argue that charging slower is a premium benefit.
Your findings are correct. Cybertruck is not a quick charging vehicle, none of the Teslas are. There are many vehicles out there with lower PEAK charge rates that charge faster than Teslas because they have a much better charge curve. The original Mercedes EQS only charged at 200kw PEAK but...
I've been cut a few times by the bottom of the doors. I've been cut by the corners of the tailgate a few times too. I think I've gotten at least a paper cut if not worse from the front underside edge of the frunk.
In the time I had the truck (lemon buyback), I worked very hard when my dogs...
My frunk did exactly the same things you mentioned. At first I thought it was related to cold/freezing weather, but no it ended up just operating like that all the time. It was very annoying to use. It would often actually get stuck and not finish "forcing" its way open.
Since when? That subtle gong sound is only when you manually override and take over such as with a strong steering input.
It never just gongs and is like "okay you're on your own now." When it disables, it is accompanied with the red steering wheel take over graphic and loud alarm.
I had a Model X Plaid loaner for a month while my Cybertruck was in service. That was my experience as well. ANC was always calibrating or unavailable due to fan speed, music, etc. In the rare occasions it was active, I was never able to hear a difference toggling it on and off.
I'm sure that makes a big difference but Cybertruck has one of the loudest HVAC systems I've ever experienced in a car.
I would think a bigger difference in the cabin would come from figuring out how to sound deaden the HVAC system IMO.
Mine bulged out like yours instead of sitting flat/flush and experienced SIGNIFICANT wind noise issues from the front and rear windows. At times it was QUIETER to OPEN THE WINDOW (I don't mean slightly like that one "fix" mentioned on the forum. I mean it was quieter to have the window opened a...
He didnāt have a āfew small thingsā wrong with his Cybertrucks. Both of them had a long list of recurring issues, as did my Cybertruck, which Tesla was also very quick to buy back.
Quality control, build quality, and reliability on Cybertrucks has been sub-par. Letās not normalize or minimize...
Agree completely. My Cybertruck was bought back by Tesla and lack of speed control is a major reason I won't get another Cybertruck (or Tesla for that matter). FSD 14 requires so much more input, it's a joke and is far from relaxing. Most of my roadtrips are long distance cross country driving...
I was hopeful for a very long time that we'd see charging improvements over time... At this point, I think the charge curve is pretty much what it is. It's not a fast charging vehicle at all despite the impressive headlines of 500kw charging.
Like yes, it can hit 500kw for a sec... but in...
I went through the same thing and had mine bought back. I couldn't keep taking it in for service every month. In the 15 months I had my truck, it ALWAYS had a service appointment scheduled for multiple issues. There was never any peace. Something was always wrong. Enough was enough.
