I live in The Woodlands and am in Conroe 4-5x a week and am surprised u got the reaction in Conroe. My only incidents have been a group of black girls were walking in front of me and one spit at my car and missed and then saw i was behind her and put her head down and walked off. I just laughed. I have had a couple of these monster truck morons give me a dirty look but thats about it- 99% positive with ppl always wanting to talk about it or take a picture.
I am in the woodlands too! Never a pip… But people tend to be more educated too and my CT is the third in my street!

Ive never seen your truck around…

I am up and down I45 all the time - kids live in Conroe (1488). I am surprised how many CT's there are in The Woodlands area but happy to see it.

Its great that you confronted him and he will probably let other CTs alone too…

I am not sure I will do that if the time comes, reality is that people that go this low over a Truck that just so happens to be the most American one don't really have a lot going on upstairs.

As you found out, not even staring in the general direction of this people is worth it…

So here's my Subaru/LAV encounter. To set the stage, I live in a small Lakeside community that is accessed by a single road in and out, about 15 km from the main town. This one guy driving a subi thought that it would be a good idea to give me the middle finger as he was passing the other way. This wasn't just a stealth one through the windshield, this was out the driver's window with a full-on FU. First time I was with my wife and the kids were in the back. My wife just looked at me, shook her head and gave me a subtle wow! Fortunately, the kids didn't notice. A few weeks later, same guy at a different spot on the road hits me again out the driver's window. I'm on my way to a meeting so I let it slide. Third time, I have my trailer loaded up with greens, on my way to the dump. This time he hits me and seeing as it's a Saturday afternoon and I'm by myself, I decide it's time to have a chat. I spin the truck around and follow him for about 10 km. He pulls off a side road up into the hills probably on his way home. I follow behind him. He eventually figures out that I'm going to follow him all the way home so he decides to pull over on a straight stretch of a quiet road. I pull up beside him, open my passenger window and politely say "you've been trying to get my attention for a while and now you have it. Is there something you'd like to discuss"? He stares at me, I can see he's a little flustered but he starts blurting out. "Elon is a fascist and you're driving a Nazi car"... and some other crap. I let him finish then calmly replied with "were you born retarded or is this self-inflicted from spending too much time on the Internet? At this point, I think he realized he was in over his head and maybe shouldn't be flipping off complete strangers in a small town. He then resorted to "leave me alone, just leave me alone". I told him that he was the one who wanted the attention and now he had it. He started to pull forward, I pulled forward alongside him. He stopped again and said just leave me alone. I calmly asked him "have you heard the term FAFO"? He just stared at me with beady eyes. I said it means "fuck around and find out". I said "if you keep fucking around… you're going to find out". At that point he just stared ahead hoping that I would go away. I pulled up ahead of him, did a U-turn and slowly came back. I stopped one more time driver's window to driver's window and calmly said "dude we both live in the same small town, you need to make better life choices". He kept staring ahead and I drove away. I pass him every once in a while on the road, he's learned his lesson...at least with me. Anyway, not suggesting we should do this, but I really had no choice. I had to put a stop to it.

My social circle is in large part the canoe/kayak racing community. A lot of us have Subarus, many from before Tesla's were around. They're good for carrying 18.5' to 24' boats. Pretty much all of the paddlers ask me about my Tesla and quite a few say that they're buying one for their next car. The only real concern paddlers have is roof rack options. The Model X is impossible due to the doors, the Model 3 only has a 28" spread between the bars, the Model Y is better (and usable) with a 36" bar spread. The Cybertruck is viable but due to the shape needs an easy way to raise the rear bar to make it more level with the front. A quick release set of extension posts would probably be ok, working on options. Weight isn't a consideration as the boats weigh between 18 and 32 pounds but the side stress in high winds can be considerable (thus the need for significant bar separation).

Can't tell you how many nasty Subaru drivers I also ran into. They seem to have the most to say for sure LOL

I feel sorry for all those jealous, insecure people who think people actually want to know about their little feelings.
