VINs are already 96xxx and beyond, which in theory have the issue resolved as people are allowed delivery. That’s how you would know. I have an early 95xxx and I think I just met the cut, took delivery in May with no containment hold. Multiple 94xxx and previous VINs have the issue for sure...

I think PCS is a totally different issue. These containment hold trucks, i think, are all getting replacement batteries. If you guys can swing a new VIN then thats definitely the way to go.

Wow! Mine is a 950XX and did not have a hold.

I measured at least three times before placing the order. It barely fits in my garage with maybe 2-3 inches of clearance in the front and back. Backing it in without trying again took some practice, but overall i am happy.

Interesting. My local Florida Discount Tire said they wouldn’t do an alignment when I called 2 months ago. I will check again.

Yes this truck is not particularly adept at fast charging, and arguably none of the Teslas for sale now are. It is clearly not a priority for Tesla. On the flip side, Cybertruck may have a better battery degradation rate than the other Teslas.

I happen to be one of the lucky ones, got my 95xxx PAWD on 5/10. No containment hold or last minute chain yanking here. Put 400 miles on it and getting a wrap now.

I’m not so sure…we’ve heard stories from members about containment holds for: -VSH Splay (battery harness issue, possibly requiring battery replacement) -Firmware -VTD wiring Meanwhile a few people in this time period have no containment holds and got their trucks delivered.

95xxx. Most affected vins are 94xxx but I’ve read at least one 95xxx affected by this also.

Yes took delivery 5/10, however, you are not alone with this issue. Many others have posted about this in related threads with no known solution for anyone yet.

I got mine 6 days after ordering. Another 2 weeks for the truck to arrive and to set up delivery. For others it has been more complicated. Some who ordered before you received VINs but no eta for delivery due to a containment hold.

Wow! I just picked mine up 5 days ago, vin 95xxx. Im not sure if i should be feeling lucky or dreading walking out to a bricked truck.

Conjecture, based on what others have been reporting in this forum.

It seems this is a manufacturing defect in a battery harness? Not sure how many VINs are affected and looks like they don’t have replacement parts yet.
