Hello to all. New to forum. Ordered my cyber beast 04/18/26. Lucky enough to VIN assigned 04/23. Scheduled delivery appt 04/29. Waaaay faster than I expected.
On the day I was supposed to go pick up my truck, I got a call from Tesla Kansas City that they need to reschedule due a maintenance hold on the vehicle. At that point I was a little annoyed as they let me know the day of, and it’s 2 Hour Dr. for me, I had already taken a half a day off.

A new delivery date was set for the following Wednesday. Again, I got a call that it needed to be rescheduled on the day of, speeding. They didn’t have any temporary tax left, and there was still a maintenance bold. No one was able to tell me what the maintenance hold was for.

I set another delivery appointment 05/13. I did not get any phone calls and drove two hours to go pick up my vehicle. I checked in, they told me it would be five minutes. I waited for over an hour, before the manager came out and said they could not release the vehicle due to a maintenance hold. Needless to say, I was not happy. I spoke with the manager and got her cell phone number, and she promised me she would be calling me the next day. That was yesterday, she never called.
Would be interested to know what you guys think is going on, and what I should do.
The anger in me wants to cancel the order, but I’ve already down payment for the wrap (to cover the cost), and have bought accessories.
Sorry for long post, just frustrated.

All we really know is there is a containment hold. Could just be a software update needed or they have to wait for a part to come in. Just wait it out is all you can do.They will get it sorted believe me they want your money / or delivered and would give it to you as soon as they can.

While it's irritating and their communication skills leave something to be desired in your case, it is probably for the best they sort out whatever issue there is rather than have you drive away and immediately have to be back for service.

That's healthy. Of course, when picking up your Cybertruck, I know how much you look forward to driving home in the awesome vehicle you chose. It hurts when you get delayed. I try to remember that the person I'm talking to is probably not, in any way, responsible for the delay and try to put myself if their shoes. Inside, I might be seething... and maybe that's not so healthy. But, hey, it's Friday regardless!

Yes it’s frustrating. But you are not alone. There’s a long list of frustrated users waiting for delivery as the trucks are in containment hold. For me it’s been three weeks now. We wait. That’s the best we can do 😳😳😳

Appreciate you responding. I did finally get a message from the manager at kc Tesla. At least I know now what’s going on. This was her response:

Hi Brian! I am so sorry, I’ve been tied up with another customer for several hours but I talked with service and they said that the service hold has been extended through end of quarter and thus we cannot deliver any cybertruck until end of June at the moment. It is effecting almost all VINs at this point so I am not certain if removing this VIN and waiting for another would be better than waiting for this one to be fixed. I am so sorry for this bad news but let me know what you would like to do!

looks like I’m waiting till end of June.

Oh. Thats not good. When it’s being mentioned that “It is effecting almost all VINs at this point”. I was planning my summer roadtrip on my CT 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ fingers crossed 🤞🏼.

Wow! I just picked mine up 5 days ago, vin 95xxx. Im not sure if i should be feeling lucky or dreading walking out to a bricked truck.

My VIN is 94***. Hope they’re over reacting and you don’t have any problems. I live 1hr 45 min from nearest Tesla dealership so I’d rather wait and have no problems. Not gonna be super easy to just “drop by”

My Googling expertise says most probably it’s the issue with 94xxx VIN series batch.

As I just posted in another thread, my PAWD VIN 95xxx just went in transit to delivery location. I'm assuming (hoping) they would not let a known affected truck leave Giga Texas.
