We have more info on that in our FAQ. There's a lot of factors that influence that, but the 2 main ones are your typical air quality (AQI) and miles driven.
I ended up ordering to try it out. I did the subscription but it looks like the only option is 4 months. I had initially planned on setting it to 6 months and seeing how it goes.
Will we be able to change the timeframe in the future? I don't want to have to cancel in 4 months and have to wait 4 more if I want it sooner.
Thanks

Awesome. Ordered, and it'll be put to the test up here in the PNW.

Yeah. You'll get an email with the link to manage/cancel the sub, and you'll find a link on your account page. It'll automatically schedule for every 3 months, but you can easily skip. I'll add more options, I set it up in a bit of a hurry last night, but it is super easy, and as a consumer, I get deeply annoyed at companies that make cancelling a sub difficult, so we've intentionally made it very easy.

Ordered, thank you. I have had some crazy experiences with the camera. I have been on freeway with limited to no vision, unable to pull over. Quite scary. Hope this helps.

tbh, hard to see cam anyway. I just use the side mirror to look back lol. Side cam for changing lanes is fine. I'd rather just wipe it off every so often.

Mine is pretty clear( rear camera) are you referring to the resolution projected on the screen?

Yes and no. Yes, in terms of a final production sample that works, but Tesla have added a cowl to the HW4 cameras on recent builds which I do not think is removable, so that would cause issues with the fitment. So we're not sure whether to go ahead, since it's a fairly chunky up-front investment for the mold and other production costs. Here it is on ours ('24 Highland without the updated camera housing):

It's a much more complicated shape compared to the original HW3 version, very little space to work with to get the seal right.
I bought mine last April, so I assume it’s the older camera case.

I assume this is just attached via sticky tape?

No, no need at all. The adhesion promotors are good, but since the camera lens isn't glass, we don't recommend using it, plus we use the nano-gel pads for the camera covers, that stuff is real sticky, in fact the most challenging part of the install is removing the red protective film (use tweezers if you have some handy, will add a pull-tap to the next batch!)

How would this do in the Canadian winter? We tend to have salt with water drying up on cars and especially back up cameras. Will that still stick to this?

I just replied to a similar question on YouTube, here's that answer (this was for someone in Montreal) :

Salt and grime really isn't the issue, those particulates are huge compared to the 'invisible' pollution that's the real issue. The video (second pic) on the site shows the cover being used in extremely dirty conditions without any issues. Looking at your AQI, it's pretty good (for the next couple of weeks at least), although the main issue is PM2.5, so that'll eventually be a factor in the longevity of the hydrophobic qualities. Also worth mentioning that the postal strike in Canada (it ended on the 17th, but the backlog is massive) means that shipping times are currently extended for Canada unfortunately.
I don't think the salt will 'stick' to the actual hydrophobic layer when in motion, as the airflow will keep it clear, but if it's particularly disgusting weather, it's always good to give it a gentle clean with an alcohol wipe (lens cleaner) when you get home.

I realize this could have been the perfect stocking stuffer, but a combination of shipping and customs delays conspired against us, but they're here now, and we're shipping them from our TX warehouse, so for most of the US, if they ship today, maybe tomorrow, they should make it by Christmas, but USPS first class is never guaranteed, and is currently a hot mess with tracking (always are this time of year, they prioritize movement over scanning).

If you've followed us for a while, you'll know I'm not good at making short videos, but this one comes in just over 10 minutes, of which about a minute is the install (at 7:04), but if you want the low-down on how it works, and how long it'll last, the rest of the video covers that.

Did you ever get these for the Model X (Refresh)?

We did not. This was also asked on YT earlier, here's the reply:

I know you don't want to hear this, and we LOVED our Model X, but the demand just isn't there to justify the R&D. For 2024, Model X sales accounted for <1.5% of their overall vehicle sales (around 15k Model X's in total), so it means our target market is really small. I have a lot of 'labor of love' community products that don't really have an ROI, but they make my accountant mad, and the R&D for this would literally result in a payback period for longer than we've existed. I've tried every universal glass treatment product in the hope of finding something that would work for any of the vehicles, but nothing does.
