well, not better. SITTING at a red light, NOT moving, I picked up m phone and I get a RED flashing wheel and says take over now, Auto pilot not available for the rest of the drive. I got a strike, completely stopped at a red light.
It has never done that before. And that is BS.
FSD going to be safer? I do not make left turns into the ONCOMING TRAFFIC, I do not make left turns ONTO THE MEDIAN, I do not drive off the road onto the left or right shoulders.
These updates are supposed to be improvements, but it seems like it is unlearning instead of learning.

13.2.7 was awesome for me today. I have a literal robotaxi already.

AMAZING UPDATE!

I have a phone mount attached to the upper left corner of the control screen. It thinks I’m looking at the road when I look at the phone there, or even tap on the phone. Not just for a few seconds grace, but indefinitely.

I do NOT recommend abusing that, but it does avoid FSD’s no texting while driving paranoia, not that I’m texting anyway..

So much variation between users.
I don’t get that, except if camera calibration (good weather, daytime, middle lane of an interstate being the best bet) might help. If that doesn’t help, you might think about a service call, except it may not be the sort of thing that any usual diagnostic will find, so that could be a waste of time.

IIRC, it often used to a camera recalibration (temporarily disabling FSD) after updates. Mostly it doesn’t anymore. Maybe increasingly misaligned behavior is a consequence.

It's been the first regression I've seen so far on CT. It turned on my road today and tried to go into the wrong lane with oncoming traffic (2 lane road) and I had to disengage. It has made this turn successfully hundreds of times on FSD.

Just installed it and haven’t tested it yet. I observed the same left turn issue (turns to the opposite lane), as same as the very early version when it was first released to CT.

I still can’t wear sunglasses, it still makes city street turns like the most scared, pathetic 100 year old lady you’ve ever seen, and still no ASS. Other than those 3 things, it’s doing great.

I think you were addressing variation in users’ experiences and/or satisfaction. If so, there is a large variation in drivers themselves: their driving style, temperament, patience, aggression, and on and on. No self-driving system can drive just like most of us would, because we are too varied in what we expect and what we accept.

Chill, Standard, and Hurry doesn’t begin to cover the variations.

Yeah I guess I could’ve been more explicit. I was commenting on the difference between the two posts immediately above mine where @65SoYoLO said it sucked and then immediately after @SeattleTom said it was amazing.

The first couple of releases of FSD for the Cybertruck were objectively behind FSD on every other Tesla and I think just bad. After those first few, they seem to be a real divergent in what people were experiencing.

As someone who’s been on FSD since version 10, on multiple vehicles, I think I’ve got a pretty good handle on how far we come.

FSD on cybertruck is not the best available experience. For me that’s absolutely on my HW4 Model S. Our X comes in second. The CT lacks features (like ass) and finesse but under new circumstances would I say it’s bad at this point. You can do most of the driving that I want it to.

But simultaneously we’ve got people reporting that it can’t even basically drive in a straight line and they feel like they’re going to die anytime they get in it.

At least some of this (lane centering for example) seems to be possibly a calibration issue. The rest I think certainly comes down to subjectivity as you’ve outlined.

But our trucks are pretty heterogenicso I am surprised at the wide gap between reported performance.

I have been using FSD on Model-Y HW3 since it was available. i just got the Cybertruck and so 13.2.6 immediately followed by 13.2.7 was my first FSD experience on the truck. It seemed very comparable which is to say I use it every day and it works good. I am not going to say it never takes too long at a light, but a quick tap on the gas will fix that. I haven’t had any safety issues or any centering issues.

CyberKaren got a little pedestal to shout more effectively it seems. I have started verbally reporting CyberKaren by disabling FSD to report inappropriate function of the attention monitoring software…by adding: tell CyberKaren the STFU!

I did a drive on the freeway today and it's still taking it's sweet time to pass from the left lane. Not sure what happened it used to be good. Now it just sits there with the blinker on for what feels like an eternity. Eventually it slowly makes its way over.

I've finally figured out what's making my CT dive out of the lane periodically, as though trying to avoid a ghost. Big tire marks in the road send me into some sort of collision-avoidance maneuver, even when there are no cars ahead. Today it actually departed across the double yellow line, into the path of oncoming traffic.

It's happened a few times before, but today I finally put it together. It's not every single tire mark every single time -- there's some sort of math being done on the computer brain to drive the decision to bail. But it's pretty unsafe, and Tesla needs to do something about it.

Otherwise, FSD has been great. I'm alert while it's active, judging it, and the progress is really great, except for that one thing where it tries to kill me. But it's easy to prevent death, so.
