I was not a fan of gloss wraps on Cybertruck, but this color changing gloss looks great in person! Thanks to Brian at i1Tesla for doing the wrap and embossing!

It is vinyl wrap, albeit very high quality… it uses a new thicker backing that makes it look super smooth, like glass! No vinyl orange peel texture like most vinyl wraps. It is ceramic coated, but I haven’t had it long enough to know durability. I was told 3 years outside, up to 5 if you garage it. The material and labor is much less expensive than PPF, although PPF should last longer.

I love the color. Generally I like gloss as well, but on the Cybertruck I feel the gloss highlights the imperfections. The reflections look like a fun house mirror with waves in certain parts. Specifically above the rear wheels the steel panels have waves in these first run trucks, I bet they will fix it in new trucks eventually.

Maybe I am overthinking it and it looks fine in person?

P.S. Does it show fingerprints?

It looks great in person! Haven’t had a single observer comment on any metal imperfections. It attracts as much attention and compliments as the truck itself!
