Has anyone tried using the Cybertruck’s under-bed compartment to store water directly?
According to the Owner's Manual, the drain plug and top seal are designed to support not just ice - but also water. Since we're testing our bed cap with sealed side storage, we wanted to see how well the under-bed compartment holds up.
Last week, We filled it with water, then did three back-to-back 0-60 runs in Beast Mode followed by some hard braking. It spilled a couple of drops (marked in orange), but honestly, not bad at all.
We then used this cordless pressure washer from Amazon to rinse off Moab red dirt then stored the pressure washer in the side compartment of our new rack system.
After a week of daily driving (didn’t floor it once in Beast Mode), the water level was almost the same, and the seal seems to work pretty well. You can clearly see where the water touched the seal. It left a water line.
This could be the simplest, zero-cost way to carry water, wash off your truck after off-roading, or rinse off gear like bikes, kayaks, or surfboards before tossing them back in the bed. Plus, it’s a super easy way to refill this fanttik pressure washer on the go.
Anyone else tried this no-money, no-effort trick straight from the Owner’s Manual?
