8BitDo Ultimate 2C Controller for Arcade?

Just got my cybertruck and was looking to use an 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Controller to play cuphead. I've tried both bluetooth pairing the controller and trying to plug the 2.4 dongle into the glovebox and neither will work. When in bluetooth mode the controller doesn't even show up as a pairing option in the settings. The controller will connect to the dongle when plugged in but the vehicle doesn't recognize it. Am I out of luck? If so any cheap controllers that 100% work (preferably via bluetooth so I can keep the usb drive plugged in). I can still return the controller I have just want to make sure the next one I buy works fine.

UPDATE: The “Home” plus “X” will turn on Bluetooth with the proper button settings.
