The official name for those are cantrails. Not sure if I like it, add a bit of vinyl to the front so it's a smoother transition rather than a abrupt end. Tsportline does it to the rear to make a fake window.

Ok. All I know is the internet seems to refer to this treatment as a pillar delete. The DIY kits sold online also refer to it in this language.

In the future I will simply say “I wrapped the stainless above the windows with gloss vinyl to make it visually less noticeable, and alter the appearance of the vehicle in a way that I find appealing.”

Nice. I should have got that done. I know I still can, but it’ll take more time. Already had it fully wrapped.

Looks great.

To each his own. I still prefer the look exactly as it comes from the factory.

Vs. these two options I personally agree. I like most other things T Sportline does / offers but not that. And I think the blackout of the cantrails (just learned a new word so thanks for the edumacation, MIcyber!) looks super goofy (no offense meant, OP).

it is interesting to me that the CT is so polarizing in general culture in terms of looks but even amongst those in the “love it” camp, there is still such a diversity of opinions on how it looks best with personal style treatments.

i appreciate that about the members of this forum.

thanks for the photos. It’s always fun to see what owners do with it next.

cheers

I was not trying to be critical but if you want to say order a replacement part pillar would not help. This is the look I was suggesting by extending the vinyl further out. But then you don't know if the truck is coming or going. Well I looked at the online parts catalog and they call it another name.

Then Tesla calls it Cantrail in the service manual.
