Some regressions I've noticed in FSD 14.2.2.5:

  • The truck attempted several passes on the highway only to abort the pass at the last second and pull back behind the vehicle it was trying to pass. This happens several times during a road trip yesterday. Anyone else experiencing this?
  • Speed profiles remain a disaster and seem to be getting worse: no profile will reach the speed limit without applying the go pedal: hurry, mad max, doesn't matter - speed limit is 70, truck accelerates to 67 and stays there.
  • Even worse, since the truck seems incapable of understanding speed limit signs, it's a constant battle adjusting speed profiles, working the pedal, disengaging FSD - just a huge headache that takes a magical experience and makes it tedious. For example, my trip was on a highway that is mostly 110kmh and has been for decades. Not once did the truck get the speed limit right. Mostly it thought it was 70, sometimes 80, sometimes 60. No speed profile was sufficient to reach the speed limit. Super frustrating. If there was a way to downgrade to the last version of FSD that allowed max speed control I'd downgrade in a heartbeat, even if it meant giving up all the improvements to FSD. I can appreciate the intent of speed profiles in an autonomous world, but it has a dependency on accurate speed limit sign recognition, and that dependency remains unmet.

I've experienced the same issues with FSD not returning to posted speed limit signs. Last few trips the previous 2 months and different update levels US95 between Las Vegas and Reno truck almost always does not return to posted speed limits after passing through 55-35 mph zones in small towns. Has become a total PIA playing with speed settings, applying pedal, and totally turning off FSD. restarting FSD has no effect on existing speed limit. Nav display sometimes 10-20 miles down the road magically resets to the correct speed. I also agree different speed settings never set for correct speed. Sure miss the old version of incrementing speed by adjusting the wheel. Mad Max mode should be renamed - Who knows mode
