AUSTIN, Texas — The Travis County Sheriff's Office confirmed their deputies were on the scene of a reported active shooter call at the Gigafactory, Tesla headquarters in Southeast Austin Friday morning.

Deputies arrived at 4:30 a.m. Friday morning along with a larger law enforcement presence.

As of 6 a.m., the sheriff's office says they've completely cleared the facility.

Law enforcement has since closed the incident and deputies have left the campus.
CBS Austin has learned that there are traffic issues along Tesla Road.

Traffic could be seen backed up on SH 130 and on FM 973 near the facility. Please avoid the area.

Unsubstantiated. False Alarm. Caused a major traffic jam in the area.
I guess that's one way to slow Tesla down. Hopefully this fake shooter alert is a one off and does not become a trend!
