For those few of you who have the Tesla light bar installed and who live in states that require it to be covered when on road, what are you using as a cover?

Well, the lack of replies tells me there is a latent market for this - calling all aftermarket companies on the forum!!!

I’m sure most of us are still waiting for the light bar to be available.

Yup. Still waiting. Tried the service ticket twice and still nothing.
Talked with my SC and they said they have installed two in the last week. But I still don’t have the email for my lightbar. Keep waiting. That’s what I seem to be doing. Waiting and waiting

Yes, the only answer is going to be gaffers tape, unless somebody designs something for it, but it’s such a slippery design that I can’t imagine how you would even get something to clip onto it. Maybe some sort of silicone?

I’ll get some black gaffers tape to keep in the rig in case some humorous LEO wants to make a big deal, but I’m going commando style.

Yes, laws and what not (which I worry about less obviously because I’m a lawyer I have ways of getting these things dealt with), but this just looks like it’s part of the vehicle and I can’t really see all about the most bored a whole cop bothering anyone who isn’t foolish enough to be driving around with the thing on on city streets.

But, definitely gaffers tape if you expect strict enforcement where you are. If you get hassled I would slap that tape on but also let them know that because it’s an original factory component on your car you believed it was in compliance and unfortunately there is no cover available for it. I would expect most officers to cut you some slack even if you don’t have tape with you. Just promise to address it as soon as you get to where you’re going and thank him/her for the heads up.

Totally unnecessary
That’s my attitude; but some of these folks seem petrified of being thrown in the hoosegow for light bar violations.
