Ambient light bar with hot spots

Is anyone else having this issue? I’ve had these hot spots on the front dash ambient light bar. 3-4 on the drivers side and 1-2 on the passenger side. It’s more visible at night. These pictures are automatically applying contrast so it looks worse than it is.

My service center replaced the bar but nothing has changed so now I’m wondering if I’m the one that’s crazy.

Changing the light strip is likely not the solution. Service ctr needs to replace the controller that sends the colors to the light strip. Its possible some colors will come through normally. Try white and see what happens. Test other colors.

Is the light bar and the plastic cover the same part? Because hot spots in lighting are using a misalignment of the lens cover.

Good Lord, if that needs to be replaced, and it can’t be done through a controller, replacing that light in there is going to just destroy the car. I had an issue with some dust in my model S and the service center made it worse than it was to begin with.

They created another service appointment for mid July. Not sure how or if it will be addressed.
