Fixes for sheared light bar roof bolt?

So this happened today while installing the T-Sportline light bar. I didn’t even crank it down. These appear to be cheap cast bolts that are NOT easy to replace. (Thanks Tesla ?). Nearest service center is 2 hours from me.

The bolt sheared flush to the bracket. Any ideas on a temporary fix for a while?

Are those spot welded studs like the bolts over the bed? As a temp repair, you could grind down the rest of the stud, drill a hole, and bolt through? Not sure if the underside is accessible if you take off the cantrail.

I kinda worried about that. Doesn’t make me feel great about strapping more than a couple 2x4’s to a roof rack…

If you have or know someone who has a Drexel tool with a grinder disk attachment, you can carefully grind a slot on top of the sheared bolt and use a big screwdriver to remove to broken stud.
