A interesting survival solution...

I made a quick search on the forums here for Prepper/Survival related comments, I did not find much at the time so I offer this thread...

...let us know in this thread of any other SRV or prepper specific feedback and/or suggestions...
As soon as something critical - or sort of critical - breaks on a CyberTruck or any complex vehicle, you are SOL. You won't be able to fix it or, probably, even move it. It will become a source of raw materials, eventually, hopefully.

What you need for transportation is something simple, doesn't require complex technical support, uses easily obtained, multiple types of fuel, can traverse very rough terrain, can learn routes and be self guiding if required, can carry a load directly or tow a load if required. It would be helpful it could be summoned from a reasonable distance. Ideally it would be self-repairing as much as possible and even self-replicating. It could also be life-saving if you could eat it if you were really desperate.

Here's a solution that's worked for 4,000 years. When the SHTF you might wish you had a couple....

Rick Grimes rode a horse into Atlanta. It didn’t last long.

Gasoline has a terrible shelf-life, and most ICE vehicles will be worthless within a year of the apocalypse.

I’ll take my Cybertruck, thanks

So I just saw this today on HackerNews about What3Words:

https://arxiv.org/abs/2308.16025

Title:
A Critical Analysis of the What3Words Geocoding Algorithm

Summary:
What3Words is a geocoding application that uses triples of words instead of alphanumeric coordinates to identify locations. What3Words has grown rapidly in popularity over the past few years and is used in logistical applications worldwide, including by emergency services. What3Words has also attracted criticism for being less reliable than claimed, in particular that the chance of confusing one address with another is high. This paper investigates these claims and shows that the What3Words algorithm for assigning addresses to grid boxes creates many pairs of confusable addresses, some of which are quite close together. The implications of this for the use of What3Words in critical or emergency situations is discussed.
Yeah, it's why I have never used them after exploring it a bit.

Also, there are competing dictionaries.
