I've thought about this same thing. Stainless is a HUGE benefit, but here in Northern California, any plastics or interior are gone in a few years. It's been over 115F here all week. Don't care about waterproof, just sunproof. Light, easy to take on and off, and cheap - as the cover itself would only last 2 or 3 years in this sun.

The corners of the truck are sharp and will result in holes in the cover. I used the storage bag to make sew on patches and place small pieces of leather over the corners by the tailgate. It drops the inside temperature some but it will still report over 110 inside the truck with the cover on. The best feature is the low price and it does keep the bird poop from making permanent spots on the bare metal.

It's just me, but I would really hate to take a cover on and off the truck every day.

It would end up discouraging me from driving it.

It's decent. 6 layers? Has zipper for charge port and to access front driver's door, reflective saftey stripes all around, silver coating on the outside unlike many so called outdoor covers that comes in black (wtf, so your car can get slow roasted under the intense sun?!)
Just be aware of the sharp corners; frunk and vault, they will tear through the cover in no time. I cut up a few pieces of old bike tire and use them to cover these sharp corners up. Seems to work well enough. Good luck y'all.
