Yep I did part myself. If I didn't get invited to hand out ice cream for a charity event I would have been in all in 381. With shipping. But I added triangle carbon fiber for 160 for the hood and tail gate .since they call it a triangle. It high 160. Most roll are more the the two i got .So with it being my first time wrapping something a buddy did the right side and rear quarter panel for 450 since if I messed up it would take 4 days to get more . So less than 1k I felt was not bad ..it if was for the charity event I would have saved 450 . Nobody knows. A few color I been looking at . I thinking of doing each side a different color. But I have seen a brown one yet .

Have you tried to remove it?? Part of my concern is if removing leaves a lot of adhesive.

But yours looks great for the cost.

I did it last September 24 .it cost me 280 for the roll 80 4 day shipping . I like it

Pretty good, but not always. I was a victim of the delivery scam; ‘seller’ inputs a tracking number going to your ZIP code but not your address to show a package as delivered. Called the carrier and they confirmed the package was not going to my address. When I challenged the auction, eBay sided with the ‘seller.’ Had to go through my CC company to get the money back. Worse yet, when I gave a negative review, eBay allowed the ‘seller’ to remove it. Talk about adding salt to a wound.

That’s why I am very reluctant to buy from someone under 99% positive. IMO, chances are good negative reviews are being squashed.
Same happened to me, twice - I guess I don't learn lessons. I purchased an item and the first seller sent an envelope or something because the item weighed nothing in the tracking. I got refunded for that one. Second item, the seller sent a counterfeit. I had photos, tons of proof, etc.. The seller asked for the item to be returned, I did that and the item never arrived to their address for some reason. After weeks of back and forth, the seller sneakily changed their home address listed on eBay. Ebay then said I sent the item to the wrong address, closed the case and sided with the seller - despite my overwhelming evidence it was a knock off to begin with which was illegal. Fortunately for me, I had the seller confirm their original return address in an email that eBay was able to see. They reversed the decision and sided with me and refunded me. Best part is, the item ended up being returned to sender (me) a few months later. The seller still tried to get me to send the item back to them again after all that.

Found this on ebay - looks priced right enough to try it out? They say it's PPF and not just a wrap. For the price I'm very tempted.

You’re correct, and I have bought wraps from eBay before and they all have been just fine. Just remember, most guys on here (not me) have a vested interest in how they respond and who they recommend. The only issue I ever had with a wrap from eBay was when I went to take it off, it was a little more difficult. Other than that it’s a great deal. My eBay wrap didn’t turn out too bad did it?

Good question. I don't have any skin in this game, but for a long time last year I was testing various PPF options. Most the cuts on eBay are generic, from the same standard pattern created on AccCut. It might have improved since I tried them a year+ ago, but still not designed for a typical DIY'er. That said, there is literally nothing on the road easier than a Cybertruck to wrap, so there's that.

I've not heard of the brand PFCC, I was testing, mostly, with Dupotop, another popular PPF brand (Malaysian, but widely used in China), there's many listings on eBay and elsewhere for it, it's generally regarded as one of the better options, and priced accordingly, the cost price is x3 of the retail price for PFCC. Removing it is a bitch though. I tried all the 'tricks' (hot towels, head gun, steamer, hot water etc etc). Ultimately you just have to park it in the sun, and remove it bit by bit, it's a chore. And then you have the residue. I don't know if some PPF's are better than others in this regard, but after a year of being on the truck, the adhesive residue was a nightmare to remove. Many people won't remove it, or just pay a wrap shop to do it (they'll charge by the hour, for good reason), but just something to think about.

As others have said, you get what you pay for to a large extent.

THAT RESIDUE IS CRAZY. I would have cried.

I'm pleased to report that my 3m Vinyl left zero residue. None. I wiped it with alcohol before re-applying the new wrap, but it wasn't necessary (and I may have forgot to do it on a couple panels).

I came close to crying. Vinyl adhesive is less aggressive than (colored) PPF adhesive, but, I did test with XPel's Black PPF a while ago, and that also came off cleanly, but was only on the truck for a couple of months, so not a like-for-like test.
