I just asked Grok how it works, if I understand you can get it at time of purchase but you must provide a MAGI, Modified adjusted Gross Income statement that you make less than $300,000. And that you don't add things that get the purchase price above $80,000. like tow bars, different wheels . FSD does increase the cost. and hopefully all weather tires and wheels (more quite) does not add to the cost.

Fairly sure FSD does not increase the cost for purposes of the tax credit. Options like wheels and interior color do. You could always just buy FSD after the fact anyway.

As far as proof of income, it's just your statement. If at tax time, you don't qualify then you have to repay.
