Everbrite's @ProtectaClear is a polymer coating that will hopefully protect against tarnishing and rust stains from the corrosive saltwater atmosphere near the gulf.

I'd like some feedback on how difficult it was to apply, and the prep work (I hear) being the most time consuming.

What is better for protection from the salt atmosphere, ceramic coat or the polymer coat?

It's best to leave it as bare metal, it doesn't need a coating of any kind to withstand a marine environment. The stainless steel used in the Cybertruck shows higher resistance to crevice corrosion than marine grade 316 stainless steel, when used in a corrosive environment.

I live in the NE so don't have the marine environment exposure. I am a fan. Just wen't through my second application after about 10 months the first time. No fingerprints, keeps the same look - if you like that. First application was a long process - I did it in pieces and that made it a lot easier. This time I reapplied in one shot. It isn't perfect, yes it can streak but it works great.

We put on 2 coats of it and it’s been absolutely outstanding! We plan on adding the magnetic Cybertruckcovers instead of a traditional wrap so that’s one of the reasons why. The prep was the most difficult part and if you decide to do it, let me know as I can let you know what did and didn’t work for us. The actual application itself was quite easy. So easy to clean and looks great! We have rough winters here in Tahoe and it got through this past one with no issue.
