Viewing live B-pillar camera has been in the mobile app for a while. We need the latest update to get b-pillar sentry and dashcam recordings.

Gotta love how Tesla has this Tron marketing deal but doesn't push the update to everyone during the movie's opening weekend lol.

Will a reboot with the two scroll wheels on the steering wheel help?

Nah, this is not true. Not sure why this idea is still floated regarding the need to strategize updates.
Hi folks,

It seems some are confused or misunderstanding certain details with updates being rolled out. Allow me to clarify these two points to the best of my knowledge:

1) The update numbering is indeed an issue. This exact situation happened the last time with FSD numbering sequence when FSD v13 was initially introduced. Those who updated to a higher update, in this case "2025.38" or higher, will not be able to roll back to a FSD update at "2025.32.8.5" because (you know) math. 38 > 32. Those who choose to update MIGHT run the risk of not being able to update until the FSD version catches up to the 38 or higher. Best case scenario is Tesla recognizes this and performs their general roll out of v14 as, for example, "2025.38.1" or "2025.39", worst case scenario is those who updated to the Tron build, "2025.38.3", will have to wait until FSD build catches up.

Now! I do understand where the confusion comes from because those who are saying it doesn't matter ALSO have a good point. A while back Tesla Software team split the main software into two dividing software build. First one for just UI (aka Software Build) and the Second just for FSD. If this is the case, then they do have a point here. Any update you do will not make any difference and will still be eligible for v14 because of the division. Meaning, it won't matter if you're "2025.32.8" or "2025.38", the minute FSD v14 comes out it will only rewrite the FSD component of "13.2.9" but retain the software build. I'm making this assumption because of the Tesla App specifically splitting the two software features: UI & FSD.

Only time will tell which method was right or wrong for updates moving forward.

2) B-pillar has always been available through the app as View-Only. When users on this forum are requesting for B-pillar view, it is specifically regarding Sentry Mode playback of the B-pillars with in-vehicle and app support. Currently, it seems that B-Pillar (Sentry) feature has not made its way to any builds as evidenced by @CYBERUN 's post; so, we shall stay tuned and hope for the best for its appearance in future updates - most likely with "2025.38.4" or newer.

Hope this helps.

True, but if you look carefully, there is still a blind spot between the B pillar camera and the front camera, if you stand right at the front left or right corner, it will not catch. Ill post videos later on.
