I ordered the Unplugged Performance Carbon Fiber Fender Flares V2 in Dec 2024. As of now, I still haven't received any updates. Every time I text the sales rep who sold them to me, he says they don't even have an estimated time or even know what's going on with their supply chain. That seems extremely unprofessional considering their price point. Because of this experience, I decided to buy from other vendors (bumper, running boards, wheels, etc). However, I can't find alternative fender flares from another vendor which I like.

What is everyone else's experience with Unplugged Performance? Are they a credible company with reliable products? Thanks in advance for any input.

This seems to be the typical experience with that company if you aren't a large contract. Did you pay them in full or just drop a deposit?

Did you agree to any special terms, or was it just "hey, we will try to get your order done ASAP" with no expected timeframe?

Either way, I would email them and request a refund. If they don't respond back to that in a timely manner then I would send them a demand letter in the mail.

They are definitely shady when it comes to us individual buyers.

I have not had any issues with them and think they are great. They cannot control everything so I bet they are as frustrated as we are.

Pre-order seems to be a theme here particularly with CT vendors. Likely due to limited demand and not willing or able to front the cost themselves, but not something I take part in for this very reason. Not saying this is the case with UP. They seem to get more widely adopted models (3, Y, and S) turned around pretty quick. Dates for a lot of these vendors slip though.

Personally, I wait till there's actually stock available. In the case of UP, I tracked the rock sliders 'stock' with them since delivery of my beast last Nov and waited to pull the trigger until the site showed they were available. I received them within a week of order and super satisfied as a result. I know others though waited very long through the pre-order process. My $0.02, just hold on any purchases until stock is available and you won't be as disappointed.

Their work is good but their customer service is unacceptable. I ordered all my stuff in December of 2024. Front/Rear Bumpers, Rock Sliders, Underbody Protection, etc. The only thing they've had in stock and installed was the rear bumper. (And they had to install it without the lights because there was something wrong with the lights that came with the bumper.) My contact person left Unplugged Performance and now works at Rivian. (Not a good sign.) Just like everyone here is saying, they don't have anything in stock and have no idea when things will be in stock. Back in December of last year I was unhappy about this but thought it was understandable because they had "over a million orders" to fill. But seeing how less than 5% of the CT orders have turned into actual purchases, I have no idea why they are so far behind. I also see that now Tesla is selling it's own rock sliders and under body protections plates (for a much lower price.) My advice would be to give yourself a hard "wait until" date. And if you don't receive the items by then maybe cancel your order and get the items you want from another vendor.

Back in the day, I ordered a CF spoiler for my Model Y but it was out of stock and taking a long time. After a few weeks, I contacted them and they happily cancelled the order and gave me a refund. I think they are reputable but at the mercy of some of their suppliers.
