People have been using trucks with no AC outlets for work for the past 80 years.

Yeah but... Many now have them and a truck without one is moving backwards, not forwards like the ground breaking, feature leading truck that it is.

Was reading the thread about the spare tire kit and came across this little tidbit in the service manual:

If the vehicle is equipped with a truck bed gear locker accessory, place the tool kit and bolt covers in the gear locker, and then inform the customer that the tool kit and bolt covers are properly stored in the gear locker.

Gear locker is the smugglers bay right? Meaning there will be a version without it.

Cool find. However, the service manual is dated July 23, 2024. Tesla was still taking reservations for the RWD version at that point, but the RWD option disappeared without a trace in August 2024.

So the service manual suggests that Tesla was considering a minimalistic CT without a gear locker, at a point in the past. But it doesn't necessarily mean that the option will actually appear at a point in the future. It could just mean that the tire kit service manual hasn't been updated since the RWD option was cancelled.
