If you are Low Income it is very possible to get a RWD for $40k or below in California if this is the price they sell it atRight, so when do you think this $30,000 truck will be for sale.

Yeah, this is really speculative. Tesla did have plans for an RWD option, but it disappeared from the CT order page in August 2024. Since then, Tesla has said nothing about it.It would probably be a good idea to add an element of speculation to your post title.
Deleting parts, like the frunk motors, is different from sourcing two different parts such as the steering wheel. It's cheaper to use only 1 wheel and software-lock the heater, instead of making two versions of the wheel.Good. [sorry, not sorry]
Wouldn't surprise me if the frunk was manual as well.
Downgraded sound system.
Maybe no heated steering wheel. No ventilated seats.
All cost saving measures to make it an entry level vehicle.
Still gonna be AMA2!NG.....Version 4.41.0 of Tesla app, which reveals that
Automatic Tonneau cover / AC outlets will not be standard across all trims of Cybertruck, guessing RWD. ?
I always thought a reinforced fabric tonneau would serve 90% of the benefit for 30% of the cost. (hide stuff/aero/some cutting deterrence. ) while saving money and space. It could be located below the roof lip. Further the space for the hard tonneau could be accessible for 48vdc batteries or other storage. If it’s optional I’m OK with Tesla’s de-contenting strategy.
I‘m not surprised by the move. I remember Lars stated during an interview that leadership may make the tonneau cover optional on the RWD trim to help keep it affordable.
Everyone will be able to tell who has manual. The CTs with the 2 hand prints on the frunks are RWDs.Manual Hood would not be terrible. The steel will not bend if you push on it by hand, unlike the Model3 and ModelY
Mine goes in on the 24th for the same tonneau issue. I’ll let you know how it goes. Also looking at issues with error codes disabling features randomly…That’s exactly right. No not yet because the auto-calibration (as others suggested when I discovered that feature) was only a temporary fix and so it’s reverted to this behavior.
I was supposed to have it fixed when I got my winter tires but that hasn’t happened because they keep moving my appointment out because they don’t have the damn tires! I’m currently reschedule rescheduled for January 30 (this is the 4th time I’ve been rescheduled). Assuming my appointment isn’t moved again, they will be looking at my cover then.
In the meantime it’s pretty trivial so I don’t care I just have to ease it closed by tapping the button once it gets to that point. Minor inconvenience and since some people indicated that the repair involves replacing the entire roller assembly I don’t wanna be without my truck for something that stupid.
tax credit may be dead by then though...Still gonna be AMA2!NG.....
Especially if it comes in under $60K
That, as they say in the classics, would make for a Compelling Car!
yeah, that seems like a really bad idea, I hope they don't do that...Not sure if people who use trucks for work will go for it if there are no AC outlets![]()
People have been using trucks with no AC outlets for work for the past 80 years. Not sure if people who use trucks for work will go for it if there are no AC outlets![]()

The reference to AC outlets in the code includes the word "optional". So it's possible that a minimalistic base model CT might not have AC outlets as standard features, but they might still be available as an option at extra cost.yeah, that seems like a really bad idea, I hope they don't do that...
