As to what the actual gear is that you receive when you purchase a new cyber truck I don’t know. I would like to know I guess that’s another question for Grok, but initially there was quite a bit of equipment that came with the truck, including the ability to use it for battery backup for your house which is a big deal. A Generac generator runs about 15 or $20,000 now as far as I know, I have one of them also good question when you find out posted up here or I will.
OK, I just asked Grok. The power share equipment and some of the other accessories that came with the foundation series. Power of beast does not come anymore so that’s a big difference but the new truck still have the air ride suspension and a whole bunch of other things, the 220 V and the 110 V outlets in the back and in the passenger compartment it’s a revolutionary vehicle unlike anything on the highway. It has a leveling system for leveling the truck when you’re camping on and on

I always vote the higher model as long as financially it doesn’t matter. You’ll never sit at a stop light in the beast and a awd pulls up and you’ll say damn wish I would have gotten that. While yes it’s 20k more the real price difference after you sell it won’t be a $20,000 loss. The beast will still hold a premium over a awd on the used market. Will it be 20k premium no but it will be worth more so the extra money wont all be wasted.

It is large, it's just the top of the dash that is different:

edit: This is an aftermarket upgrade, but best shows the difference in the two.
I'm in the same decision making process. The Alcantara is really something I like a lot, so I am curious who sells the upgrade?

Tesla lists the part, but it's VIN-locked, so I wouldn't be able to order a replacement from them. Plus, I think it's like a grand, which seems like a lot.

- Do Cyberbeast owners still love the Beast after the honeymoon phase?
YES!!! 2024 Beast owner and have loved every minute of ownership

- Do any Beast owners wish they would’ve saved the money and gone Premium AWD instead?
No, not even a little
- How meaningful is the extra performance after living with it for awhile?
We drive in Beast mode at all times, this is extremely meaningful. The extra cash was absolutely worth it.

- Ride quality, efficiency, range, tire wear, maintenance, daily usability differences?
Still have the original tires, no maintenance. For daily usability difference

- If you keep vehicles for years, does the Cyberbeast premium continue to feel justified?
Yes, 100%

- Any regrets either direction?
No

- If you had to buy again today, which would you choose and why?
Definitely a Beast for the speed.

I have both. For younger Beast owners (or immature owners lol) the Beast is the only way to go for them. I used to drag race back in the day and for me the only time I ever use beast mode is if I have buddies in the car that have never experienced the Beast 0-60 pull, which is extremely rare. I drive the beast daily and the AWD is used for business purposes but I can honestly say If I had to do it all over again I’d go with a RWD or a SAWD and a premium AWD.

Very sensible viewpoint. What I really like is the Alcantara dash. It’s something I could do afterwards, but add that to the extra power, and all of a sudden the whole package seems to offer more. Is it $20,000 more, probably not. Then again, will I look at that dashboard everyday thinking I wish it was made with Alcantara? That’s the dilemma.

Oh, a little. Premium AWD with free lifetime Supercharging and lower interest rate would have been nice. As would the additional payload capacity when towing.

FS AWD vs FS Beast though? Beast all day long.

If your trying to justify the Beast via the alcantara, then it’s actually $20k more, which does seem like a lot. The beast is not something you need, it’s a want, it’s an awesome, awesome want. I love mine, so happy with it.

When I got my Models S I would always think “I wish I had gotten the plaid, but that was a lot more expensive”. With the beast I never regretted it, and never thought, wish I would have saved a few bucks.
