How did you hide the cable?
Cable goes straight into the center console in the center. There is a gap for cord both on the opening and inside on the little pouch so it can go underneath into the USB C at bottom of console. They designed it well.

this is literally the dumbest idea ever i really dont get why people insist on having a phone holder
Does your phone make you rich? Some people heavily rely on it for work. Smartest idea. For some. Maybe not you. You can tuck it in your coat pocket for the day and prob be fine. Thats neat.

I like this phone mount. My problem is I have a pop socket on the back of my phone case and I am really addicted to it. I love my pop socket. I need a phone mount that I can still leave my pop socket on.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Ok Karen. I text for my job and I do it safely. Stopped at lights or pulled over. I’m not going 90mph texting lol. 7,000 lbs eh? Is that a fat joke? My Cybertruck is slim af and trying. Be nicer.
Oh, in that case, I think that the mount wouldn't be a good idea. It's not positioned in a place to be comfortable to use.
If the standard charging pad isn't okay, plug a cable into the console and run it out. You can then put your phone in either the charging pad or the other drink holder with the USB cord plugged and easily pick it up and have it in the best position to operate.
If you are pulled over....

FYI, the Cybertruck is

Dual Motor
All Season
Dual Motor
All Terrain
Tri Motor
All Season

All Terrain
Curb Mass Total*6,634 lb
(3,009 kg)
6,669 lb
(3,025 kg)
6,863 lb
(3,113 kg)
6,898 lb
(3,129 kg)
*Curb Mass = Weight of the vehicle with correct fluid levels, no occupants and no cargo.

So 7,000 lbs is pretty close to what Cybertrucks will be running down the road at.

It comes with a magnet that may or may not stick on your pop socket. If I were you I’d just stick a thin magnet to socket and see if it still holds

Good idea, I'll try that!

I took your mount idea and improvised a bit. I thought the extension arm was a little short and blocked the center floor storage area a bit.

So I did this:

Tesla Cybertruck Best phone mount for Cybertruck! 1000003445

I put it dead center so phones on either side can still charge wirelessly on the pad and then center console usb cord is between the two cupholders.

The key is putting the adhesive pad just high enough that the screw in adjustable mount can actually turn. Mine wore the felt just a little as you can see in the picture but works great. I reversed the extension arm as well so it bends away so phone isn't obscured as much by drinks in the cupholder.

Thanks for the link.
Maybe there is truth to the phone batteries overheating, while in the Tesla dock. I like this idea to keep the phone more ventilated and also easier viewing.
Maybe......?

If you picked up my phone off the charging heating pad after it sat there for a few minutes, you would feel the "truth". But I don't think the batteries are overheating, because there is very little difference in the battery's state of charge before the phone shuts down due to overheating.

I have a service appointment for it in July.

I have been on the search for many many days on the perfect phone mount for the cyber truck. The auto charge slot is cool but anything that charges through the back is super slow and I would always be grabbing my phone to text and then my phone would be dying throughout the day. Some mounts out the phone above or to left of screen and it blocks the road. I needed to have a fast charger so I bought this phone mount and it pops up in the perfect position. I’ll show where I mounted it. You can read text and text with one hand without taking your phone off and it allows it to use the quick USB-C charger inside the Center console. I’ll link the phone mount, but it works perfect for me.

I got mine, really impressed with the quality of this piece. I was expecting some amazon plastic but this is really fine.

I'm considering this set up to mount the display for a rearview camera mounted on a trailer I am towing. How has this held up over the past months?
