Hi there, hey, you need to push the center, the cover will fly off, make sure you push it until you hear the click, the face should not look flat. It has to be a little concave.

I’ve never seen a light colored mouse or rat like that other than a pet store do you live in a really cold place? That was a lot of effort for that rodent to get caught like that, he must’ve wanted to see what was on the other side.

I'd take that as a warning to put out other traps before the mice chew on the wires.

Had this happen to my BMW, chewed through the tire wheel sensor wire. Could have been much worse.
