I have the 1up dual bike rack, and i got pulled over because it blocks the license plate when its empty and positioned up, if i leave it down i wont fit in parking spaces correctly... not sure what to do here
ngl I was/am worried because i noticed the same. For now I am just going to pray to the law enforcement gods 😅

it effectively breaks FSD. It crosses the line on mild curves. Swerves in the lane. The training (so far) must be very dependent on the rear camera. Perhaps it thinks a person on a bike is about to ram it from behind 😅

They need to train with the camera blocked - it will be with towing an airstream or such.
I have the exact same experience hauling my e-moto.

Tell the officer to look with his eyes and see the plate. I see people driving around all the time with no plate at all, or a smoked and curved lense that you absolutely cannot see their plate.

He just wanted an easy ticket for his quota that they are allowed to lie about.

Well... i did looked and the plate is not visible.. i am going to order a replica from amazon and zip tie it to the back of the rack, hopefully i wont get in trouble for that.

Or take the rack off when not using it? The idea of a fake plate doesn't sound like solid plan.

defeats the whole purpose of having quick access to use the hitch mount lol.

maybe a better solution would be to have a QD for your plate that you can mount on the carrier

What do you mean quick access. I take my rack off after every ride and do the opposite before every ride. Very easy and the rack is safe in my garage when not in use. And that cover for the hitch was removed on day 1 and put away in a corner.
