Decided to paint my brake calipers, which I’ve done a few other times and pretty straight forward. Have also replaced many pads over the years. 2 issues with the CT.
First was removing the front driver and as I’m working the pads out, both pistons were basically glued to the pads and popped out. Seals and pistons look fine, and hopefully reseat them and then go thru a pain the ass fill and bleed. The other front was fine. Anything else to watch out for putting it back together? I guess now I can just remove all the brake lines and make painting them easier.
Second is that both rears will not release, whole assembly will not come off. I followed the service manual and turned off the MV, disconnected the rear EPB, but I don’t think it’s actually released. Parking brake is not active, but it was while I jacked it up. Any ideas?
