Hello!

I noticed when I set temp via Tesla mobile app, once I get to vehicle it changes to preference previously set before exiting vehicle.

For example:
When exiting vehicle, temp may be set to 70 degrees. After a workout, I will set to 65 degrees via Tesla mobile app. Once I arrive at vehicle and enter cabin it flips back to 70 degrees.

Not a huge deal, but feels inefficient and not the seamless experience I would expect.

Question - bug or feature?

Huh, I don't see how that could be a useful feature.

I think when you enter the car regardless of what’s set it activates your driver profile and that’s what causes the change.
If someone else was driving and had the temp set differently and then you got in instead, the same thing would happen.
You could create another profile like “sweaty me” for example but since they are on the same keycard or phone that probably won’t help.

If your intention is to return to a cool vehicle after workout much better to just hit keep in AC control screen. ( keeps vehicle as current temp) Uses very small amount of juice keeping vehicle perfect. It’s one of Teslas best features.

Swipe up on the climate (bottom left corner of screen) and at the top of half screen size menu it says , off, keep, dog, camp modes. Keep is what you want.

Still think the scenario I positioned is a bug. Familiar with the keep option and profiles but still seems like this is not intended functionality. My phone is my profile, so in theory my profile should update once climate updates in mobile app.

I handle my home tech with the TVRem app for Iphone for that exact reason since it actually keeps my settings consistent without these annoying resets.
I am running into the same climate lag on my Model 3. I set the temp in the app but it snaps back to the old setting a second later like the hardware is rejecting the mobile command. It feels like a session handshake failure similar to the bugs I deal with on my other vehicle tech.

I tried swiping up on the climate menu and toggling Keep mode, but it didn't fix the sync issue on my Model 3. Even with my phone linked to my profile, the app still refuses to stay on the temperature I select.

How are you guys getting the mobile app to actually override the car's current state without it snapping back? I've tried repairing my phone key but the lag persists.
