I’ll reach out today and advise results on this board in case anyone else has this issue. You’ve been super helpful. Thank you again.
UPDATE. Got a call from the SC today and guess what - they have the replacement tube in stock for me and the manufacturer sent a video and manual to help install it. - I'm telling you - Tesla service has improved dramatically over these past several months.

Very glad to hear it. Don’t be disheartened. The tent is actually very cool to own and in my case has been utterly bomb proof

Hey Rory how did it go replacing the tube? Mine has burst and ripped the seams as well. Trying to figure out how I will be getting this fixed.

When did you get your tents? The ones that burst? Are they the “v2” which are the second manufacturing batch and became available around Feb this year (they have a different black accessory bag + the feet under the platform do not lock in, just unfold). That’s what I have and have yet to fully inflate at camp. Just did a quick check to make sure the tent was ok and inflated but didn’t go to 8psi at camp yet. Will do in July.

Sorry to hear that. Ordering the replacement tube through Tesla Service Center was pretty easy. They gave me a diagram that shows each tube in the tent in a different color and asked that I identify which tube it was and they placed the order. It took a few weeks to order it from Germany but really not a terrible delay. The replacement tube came with detailed simple instructions to install it and since then I've used the tent a couple of times to the total delight of my 5 yr old - and me. After you set it up once - each subsequent goes so much faster. As fast as 8-10 mins. and packs up just as fast. Hope this helps. - R

That’s good news. How do the tubes attach to each other in there ?

The tubes attach to each other with Velcro and the air passes from one tube to another via the short black hoses.

Thanks for sharing this - yes I did have that piece connected. I think it’s a valve that allows the pump to fill the tent with air on both the up and down stroke and not act as a pressure relief valve above 8psi. It didn’t relieve pressure for me when I was filling it.
[...]
On the topic of the T-connector, I can confirm it is a pressure relief valve, *but* I think it can sometimes get stuck.

With the pump in dual-action mode, and the T-connector mounted, hold the output nozzle with your finger and pump down. The valve should open at ~7-8 psi. If you pump down fast, you may see the needle on the pressure indicator swing into the yellow-red zones, too. When moving the pump up, you should feel no back-pressure on your finger: the air intake is on the pump lever itself.

I think it may get sometimes stuck, though, and I have no idea what does that. My approach now is to first unscrew it and push it open manually a few times; then reassemble and test as described above; then pump the tent.

Anyone else have this issue? Way past the return cycle unfortunately. Following the instructions I was careful not to over-inflate - unless the gauge on the pump is way off. SC said they have had others who experienced the same thing. The tubes are replaceable but since they are supplied by a 3rd party company they have no control over the time it will take to obtain the part which they said they expect to be "a long wait" - ugh.
Thoughts?
Order a new one and then return the old one in the new one’s replacement window. The Silver Spring service center told me to do this when I missed the return window on a broken bed divider. Worked like a charm.
