Just curious if anyone else has experienced this. Got out the Cybertent out for the first time over the weekend.
The tent had a chemical type smell in it. I’m not normally ones for smells, not super sensitive. I ended up getting a crazy allergic reaction where my throat was super swollen and it was hard to swallow. It was awful and painful but the only thing different was the tent than a normal day. Could I just be allergic to the material in the tent? Is that even really a thing? I had a heater as well that popped on and off through the night. Any help would be awesome. Just trying to figure out what it might have been.
A couple of notes
If you have the SC instal make sure they also instal the new quick disconnect to the aplique at the top. Mine did not and turning those stupid screws was a pain in the ass (especially when it was raining when we packed up). Having installed that myself now it’s like a butter smooth process. First time setup was a little tricky but just figuring out everything. It was helpful that I had 4 friends to help me.
Do yourself a favor and get a Haven tent mattress pad, I got the safari one. holy cow it was almost more comfortable than my bed at home and that bed ain’t no slouch. I’m a side sleeper and I’ve never felt so comfortable camping honestly.
All in all it’s a great setup but I wish they would have warned you that if you engage tent mode you may need a step stool to get up in there. Surprised it didn’t come with one or something.
