Is it Phantom if one is doing it consciously?

Shouldn't it be. Cabin Overheat drain quantified.

Where did the energy go? I don't know. It just disappeared. Phantom
Where did the energy go? Oh I turned Cabin Overheat protection on. I was an idiot. That is where it went.

Valid. Its not phantom drain. Its a feature which is user enabled with a known penalty of battery usage. Poor title choice on my part.
And yes, you're an idiot. ?

An idiot that knows how not to ask dumb shit, and if they do they know how to title it. I will be that type of idiot every day. Seems like one got a bunch of useless answers.

I leave it on 90, yeah it eats away at the battery but I plug in every night and I'm not driving a ton of miles on a typical day so I guess I'm just buying a couple extra kWh at off-peak pricing. I would turn if off on a road trip though.

In LA temperatures right now, that's a lot more than a couple extra kWh. I'd guess maybe 20 kWh/day.
