Can the cybertent l-track brackets be safely moved?

The installation instructions for the cybertent specify how many open holes need to be between the brackets but theoretically this is achievable even with the outermost (tailgate brackets) moved back 2 to 3 holes from the edge.
This would be very useful for having accessories right by the tailgate. Have any of you done this? Will the tent still rest safely on the end bracket?

You’re probably right. Those are some of the most useful parts of the track though so it would be nice to be able to use them when the tent is folded up.
I guess I could always take them off and reinstall when I open the tent. They are really only two screws each.

Thinks is what I’ve done. When I know I’m not going to be using the tent for a bit I just move them back. We’re heading into nasty months for outdoor camping with the kids so I’m winterizing. Haha
