Seems like the oil companies would love for us to switch to Hydrogen based on natural gas. Then they get to keep their business model while making everyone think they are now clean. Yet another reason why Hydrogen is not a good solution for cars.
Sure there are some drawbacks to BEVs like the extra weight that is getting carried around and the recycling of batteries. But overall I much prefer BEVs and things like recycling are going to get figured out over time.
