How many of you are tired yet of all of the attention, questions, photos, videos and fingerprints? After being swarmed on South Beach, I coined the term carparazzi for those crazy people who will stop in the middle of the road to take a picture, and those sneaky videographers.

Today I went to visit a client and it literally took me 47 minutes to get to the elevator. The building manager made a special sign after he saw me answering so many questions. It's been a blast the past 16 days of owning this magnificent work of art. Leaving the key card with the valet really freaks me out. Haven't let my wife drive the car yet.

The other day, 3 cameras were hanging out of a car window. I grabbed my phone and pointed it at them and said "here, how do you like it when someone films you without consent". Multiple thumbs up a day. People asking if they can take a picture. I say no, there's a 2 picture minimum. I'll wave if they're videoing.

How are you all feeling about the attention? I was thinking of getting a custom license plate, but thought that I'd rather try and be more anonymous, then I remembered that it would be pointless in a Cybertruck. Any wondering when they think they'll get tired of feeling like a celebrity?

I'm going to make a little sign to put on the dashboard when I park it that will say it's a Tesla Cybertruck, feel free to take pictures but be aware there's a camera security system and please, do not touch it and leave fingerprints. Maybe that will help a little until the wrapping.

I wish there was more lockable space in the cabin instead of having to keep an eye on people that you let sit in the car to check it out. Hopefully, someone will create an attachable locking cabinet for under the front and rear seats.

Feel free to chime in with any crazy carparazzi stories. If you haven't gotten your Cybertruck yet and are reading this, you will not be prepared for your new celebrity status.

I got my truck Friday and it's been pretty crazy! However when I saw one out of town I acted the same so I relate 100%. I feel it's cool it makes people and mainly kids very excited. I kinda now realize everywhere I go it's going to be an extra 15-30 mins so plan accordingly!

I would happily trade places with you and have my truck. Can’t wait, share the truck with those that are engaged about it!

It's already calming down in the bay area, CA. I'm often in traffic with another CT, armada style. And 90%+ of people dgaf. Get 45 minutes outside of Silicon Valley, boom, you're a celebrity again.

Not sure what you thought was going to happen when you got a Tesla Truck people have been wait for and hearing about for 4+ years.

I don’t think you’ll find much sympathy on this MB dude…. ??.

Apologies if I cam across as complaining. I expected attention with the truck. I just didn't realize how nonstop it would be. For the most part, I love it. This post was supposed to be about the fun of it, not a complaint.

Also, as noted above, I think there's some location based differences based on population and how close you live to a Tesla factory.

I can only dream of getting tired of the attention, questions, photos, videos and fingerprints! I'm a pretty low key guy, but I can deal with it. Let's get this show on the road!

I don't know where the idea came from that people deserved privacy when in a public place. There is NEVER privacy in a public place, even if not in a Cybertruck and not a celebrity. I'm a photographer and would never consider asking someone if I can take a picture in public, I would just do it. Imagine if street photographers had to ask their subjects for permission before capturing a slice of public life! The world would be poorer for it.

I'm going to make a little sign to put on the dashboard when I park it that will say it's a Tesla Cybertruck, feel free to take pictures but be aware there's a camera security system and please, do not touch it and leave fingerprints. Maybe that will help a little until the wrapping.
Maybe the sign should say:

National Fingerprint Depository

We are collecting fingerprints and facial images with our high resolution 360-degree cameras to assist law enforcement efforts to create a national Fingerprint/Facial Images Database to track citizen movements and activities. Our state of the art AI will record where you touched the Cybertruck and match fingerprints with your facial features to build the most comprehensive fingerprint/facial recognition database ever compiled. By cross-referencing other nationwide image databases, we can attach names, birthdates and social security numbers to our facial images and all fingerprints deposited here. Please leave clear prints of each finger on both hands, including thumb prints.

Thank you for your cooperation.
