How many of you are tired yet of all of the attention, questions, photos, videos and fingerprints? After being swarmed on South Beach, I coined the term carparazzi for those crazy people who will stop in the middle of the road to take a picture, and those sneaky videographers.
Today I went to visit a client and it literally took me 47 minutes to get to the elevator. The building manager made a special sign after he saw me answering so many questions. It's been a blast the past 16 days of owning this magnificent work of art. Leaving the key card with the valet really freaks me out. Haven't let my wife drive the car yet.
The other day, 3 cameras were hanging out of a car window. I grabbed my phone and pointed it at them and said "here, how do you like it when someone films you without consent". Multiple thumbs up a day. People asking if they can take a picture. I say no, there's a 2 picture minimum. I'll wave if they're videoing.
How are you all feeling about the attention? I was thinking of getting a custom license plate, but thought that I'd rather try and be more anonymous, then I remembered that it would be pointless in a Cybertruck. Any wondering when they think they'll get tired of feeling like a celebrity?
I'm going to make a little sign to put on the dashboard when I park it that will say it's a Tesla Cybertruck, feel free to take pictures but be aware there's a camera security system and please, do not touch it and leave fingerprints. Maybe that will help a little until the wrapping.
I wish there was more lockable space in the cabin instead of having to keep an eye on people that you let sit in the car to check it out. Hopefully, someone will create an attachable locking cabinet for under the front and rear seats.
Feel free to chime in with any crazy carparazzi stories. If you haven't gotten your Cybertruck yet and are reading this, you will not be prepared for your new celebrity status.
