Chicago are you ready?! 200 Cybertrucks awaiting delivery at Chicago Tesla Delivery Center

Well it’s May 21st and I’m certainly one of the first CT Beast orders in Chicagoland area and still no VIN. I did switch to stealth interior so I’m sure that will delay it a few more months.

Yeah looking like October earliest unfortunately. Feel like those new interior CT’s will be pushed to the back burner.

This is the most amazing vehicle I have ever owned! I am having a hard time describing it, that is how good it is. Most people in IL do not even know what it is. I will do a full post/writeup when I get to drive it more. There were about 10 Cybertrucks delivered with mine on Monday at the Naperville location. I was the crazy one with the TesBros checklist Took me 30 mins to go over everything. I noticed the tonneau seal across the top was a little loose and then it actually fell off after I opened the cover again. They took it right into service and fixed it. Everything else looked perfect. One big takeaway so far as that pictures and videos do not do this thing justice. It is way bigger and more intimidating in person.

Awesome. Thanks for the reply and I planned to have that check list handy myself. I did get to sit in the one at Westmont recently so I have some idea going in but I am sure way different when it is your own. Congrats again.

VIN received yesterday, 5/22

Tesla Employee, via app, told me it was on the way to their location via ramp rail. (Bloomington).

hopefully this means within a week or less!

You gave me hope by posting this!! Let me just say that Friday night at the Tesla service center is no joke. Note to self: Do not schedule delivery for a Friday. It's been 11 days since I got my VIN (10xxx) and I hadn't heard anything about delivery. I tried the phone number on the App and it kept disconnecting me after the automated message 'we know who you are by your phone number and there are no delivery updates') Well, I went to local service center and asked and they looked it up and MY CT is in Chicago (I'm in Columbus)!! Woo hoo! So maybe another week or so they guessed... It was a relief to get confirmation that I could pay by cashier's check on day of delivery too.

Good afternoon. It has been a few months since you posted. Hoping you have received and are loving your truck. How long after hearing your truck was in Chicago did you get to pick it up? Getting mine in Easton hopefully very soon. Have my VIN and truck is currently in Chicago. Thanks

Congrats - I saw that you already have an update! I remember the pain of waiting. It was agony!!! I posted on Friday, by Sun eve they scheduled me for wed. I was able to move it to Thur so my hubby could go too. Don't forget my learning -that easton is madhouse on Friday eve! If you haven't driven one yet, you will want to have whomever drops you off drive behind you - i drove about 2 miles an hour off the lot lol - it takes a minute to get used to.
