Config vs delivery — Tactical Grey vs While or change of wheels?

Anyone have any insights on delivery of Tactical Grey vs While or change of wheels?

Paid the $1K for the order on May 25,24

Got this Txt from Tesla on June 29

Hello xxxx, this is Tesla regarding your upcoming Cybertruck delivery. The options you selected are not expected to be available until later in 2024. In order to support you with the earliest possible delivery, you may upgrade your interior trim or wheel option at no cost to you, for a limited time and subject to availability. Note the estimated range for the upgraded wheel is 318mi. Reply YES to confirm you would like to move forward with an earlier available configuration.

We replied YES and also said yes when Tesla called on the phone about an hour later.

They wanted us to take delivery the NEXT DAY, which we couldn't do. But the person on the phone
said they would change the options on the order which should improve delivery.

But... the order page still shows the Grey interior and 20in core wheels.

We are scheduled to take delivery at Santa Barbara. CA Sales/Service center but I don't see any deliveries to that site
in the delivered list.

The local (San Luis Obispo CA) Sales center says everything is "fine" but I wonder?

Anyone have any insight on what is being delivered, etc?

WE'LL take yours if you aren't ready!! I work in SB 3 days a week so it would be easy to pick up!! Otherwise, we'll wait until they get ours ready at the (likely) Camarillo store...

Thank you for posting this! I also live in the San Luis Obispo area and placed my order on 8/11… white interior… wondering how long after you placed your order you got this information from them?

Could Be that they are offering you one that someone could not take delivery for a number of reasons. Nothing wrong with that as long as you are comfortable with options.

I was swapping white to grey every other day, hoping that would help, it seemed like they were coming in batches of one or the other. I really wanted grey, but was at the “I don’t care stage, I’ll take anything” I even texted Tesla to let them know. I left it on grey ( which is what I really wanted) and forgot about switching it(not the VIN, still was checking hourly)
When I finally got my VIN, it was grey. So happy picking up tomorrow morning. But I noticed several others that day, and that week, getting white and grey. So I don’t think it’s batches anymore.
As for wheels, still seeing AT, but someone mentioned they saw AS. Those could still be coming in batches, who knows.
this post was kind of pointless, other than to say, I’m picking up my Beast tomorrow.

Yes, they just replied that they Couldn't see any visibility into the production, but they would keep an eye out in the area if one becomes available.
