How many trim levels do you think the cybrtrk will come with?

I'd predict 2-3.

1. Standard / base
  • 400 mile range
  • 15k-18k towing capacity
  • room for 6
  • 0-60 in 4.5 seconds
  • RWD
  • 6-foot long bed (Ram 1500 / F150 / etc usually have either 5'7" or 6'4" bed length depending on quad vs crew cab. Given that the Tesla has no need for a front engine compartment, by moving the cabin up just a bit they can shrink the front down to a frunk while still adding a few inches of bed space AND rear passenger space. So 6'0" seems a nice middle ground there, but I could also see 6'4")
2. Long range / hauler
  • 650 mile range (400 at freeway speed while hauling)
  • 30k towing capacity
  • room for 7-8 (or just bigger back seats for 6)
  • 0-60 in 3.5 seconds)
  • 4WD / AWD, possibly dual rear option for more weight
  • Longer bed - 8'-8'6" maybe. (F150 / Ram 1500 / etc long bed is usually around 8'.
3. Performance / sport
  • 650 mile range
  • 20k towing capacity
  • room for 6
  • 0-60 in 3.2 seconds or faster
  • 4WD / AWD
  • 6-foot bed of Standard / Base model.

My 06 Tacoma is getting a little long in the tooth, so I was out shopping for a new 4Runner as a replacement. I have a day #2 reservation on the Cybertruck so I thought "what the heck" and called Tesla about potential delivery dates. I was informed 60-90 days for first deliveries. I will be patient and baby my Tacoma truck for a while longer. Lifted my spirits tremendously!
Well I'm old and anxious too and hate to rain on your parade but talking on the phone to someone at Tesla who quotes you a delivery time frame, is like getting the low down from Judy at Time Life.

You're old enough to know what that means but if not, I tried ... :)

What's that word after the colon? The one that starts with an R?
Also, Silverado is no longer a 450-mile range vehicle. Chevrolet's own landing page says "GM Estimated 400 Mile Range."

There really was some good guess work here but the 650 range, 8ft bed and seating up to 8 was a stretch. (see what I did there)

So, now a rumor is "Tesla said", LOL!

Even if the rumor is true, it still says 500-mile range will be released after a 350-mile range. The claim was that Tesla said a 500-mile range is "not needed".

What is wrong with people these days?
