General rule: You can load a breaker to 80% of its rated value (There are exceptions). A 60-amp breaker can generally be derated to 80% of 60 amps equals 48amps.

Exactly….NEC rules hence Tesla installation guide: use 60a breaker for a 48a continuous load. For HPWC gen 2, set rotary switch to “9” to configure a 60a circuit correctly. HPWC Gen 3 has its specs to do the same
