My CT will be my first Tesla. I order the FS cyber beast, and my name should be coming up soon (RN1128....) despite ny selection of tactic gray. My question is regarding home charging....should I install level 2 now (electricians are slow in Seattle) or wait and have the charger installed at the same time as the PowerShare? I dont want to duplicate costs so I would like to be efficient about how to install the charger. Thanks for the ideas

Powershare comes with the HPWC so if you don't want to pay for duplication I would just hold off until you get PowerShare...
You can use a 14-50 outlet in the meantime to charge the Beast. Its always helpful to have a spare 14-50 outlet in the garage anyway

Just use the one you get from ordering. Mobile power connector can hold you over until install

In my new Garage, I'm putting a 14-50 outlet on the outside, in-between the two garage doors. It'll be for friends with EV's that visit me. So that might be something to consider.

If they don’t drive a Tesla, they’re no friends of mine

Want to go a little more into this? Since it really isn't an option for a LOT of people?

A NEMA 14-50 plug is quite sufficient and will work with the mobile connector that should be included with the Cybertruck. Don't necessarily say if is for a Tesla, and the electrician's quote may be slightly lower.
Getting this done will get the wire pulled and any local codes handled. This will probably get a GFCI installed in the panel, which may be a little expensive and not needed if you install the wall connector. People go like this forever, you may want to get an extra mobile connector to stay in the truck though,

Or just go ahead an order the wall connector and give it to the electrician to install.

If it is a multiple car garage and there may be multiple vehicles, then get the electrician to pull a 100A subpanel into the garage and from there you can much easier add whatever is desired.

Lot's of options and prices depend on how full your existing panel is and how far away from the garage it it.

In all seriousness though, the "U" in "UWC" stands for "Universal" (it has J1772 as well as NACS). Even the CHAdeMO owners know well enough to have a J1772 adapter on-hand.

As a test, I used the NACS->J1772 adapter of the UWC to connect to the J1772->NACS adapter that came with the truck. It worked perfectly, charging at the full 48A!
