True! I have this protocol that I follow with all performance vehicles I buy. I don’t use high end modes by default till I’m completely accustomed to driving in medium modes. For example - I didn’t use sports mode in my Ducati for six months till I was fully familiar with the driving dynamics. These performance vehicles are very powerful, and controlling my urge to speed takes practice and patience. I’m sure I’ll get multiple speeding tickets or wear of tires/brake pads in six months if I switch to Beast all the time before I’m ready! I did Chill for two weeks. I’ll stick with Sports for 3-4 months, and then I’ll switch to Beast once I know I’m confident handling the Beast! If I’m putting too much wear and tear on tires with Beast, I’ll switch back to Sports. I might not use Chill.
Fair enough. Just FYI it’s super easy to control in beast mode + launch mode. Doesn’t get squirrelly/wobbly or anything. Just effortless fun.

I agree! It’s been so hard for me to get out of Sports mode. The Beast is so much fun in Sports mode. I guess I have to learn my lesson the hard way $$!

OP - just curious, which mode have you been using for most of your driving?
I use Custom settings, low for the ride height and whatever the sporty is for the handling. I will move into Beast mode for Beast launches but then go back to my custom settings for regular driving.

Does only Tesla have these tires in stock currently? I don't need any yet but planning ahead....

Same. CLS55 baby! So on the cls there is no rotating because of front/rear tire differences, I replace the rears only. I use CHILL mode most of the time and the tire doesn't have that typical grind marks from driving hard. Worse case, Ill replace the fronts only if they wear too fast or I miss the rotations. Its actually cool because when you need to BEAST or SPORT, you'll have great tread in the rear! ;)

Put your truck in CHILL mode - your tires and your wallet will love you.... My CT has 7,000 miles and my tires look like they will go 15,000.

As I own AMG Mercedes...getting more that 8,000 miles from tires is a big win!.

Yeah Custom is a way to go. Initially I was surprised why the suspension is automatically going to low when I set it to Higher. I later found out it’s by design, lol!

I read somewhere on this forum that Tesla factory tires, at least the initial batch, was not great, and there are good aftermarket options now. I’ll be looking for one in a year or so.

I’m at 10,000 miles now and have been rotating every 4000 miles and have pretty even wear between all four

Agree: I have a family member that wants to buy our 2019 AMG GLC63s..they really want it, now they are reconsidering, as I just put the 3rd set of tires on it in 4 years... $3,600...[*only* $3,600 because the rim & tire insurance covered 1 tire with a nail ;)]

Who buys a Beast to drive in chill mode lol
I have the Foundation...not the beast. Yet I agree, when you are driving a 600+ HP car - you need the speed.

Luckily, I'm older and have had motorcycles, AMG's, M5 Competitions and have gotten that out of my system...so I drive in chill mode....
most of the time!....
