Well, the skies parted, and I picked up my CyberBeast yesterday evening!

Took delivery at the Richmond, VA SC. Absolutely, no problems and by orders of magnitude the easiest new car purchase I have ever made! (Even though it cost more than my first 3 houses!) I could have been out the door in 2 minutes if I had not asked the sales staff to go over a few things on the truck with me (first time EV owner). Sophie could not have been more gracious. :)

The truck had 7 miles when I picked it up and it now has 92. A bit of a learning curve, but I love the technology. I did need to use the wiper (BAW) on the way home and IT worked great. Still figuring out the "infotainment" systems.

Biggest dislike thus far is the interior rearview mirror, as my grandfather would say, "useless as tits on a boar hog." Biggest like so far is just the overall driving experience... smooth and so quiet.

Anyhow, here are the details, vin 0369xx, gray interior, cyberwheels and AT tires w/aero covers!, RN 113297xxx in Feb 2020, ordered on May 30, 2024.

I feel like the rear view mirror is misunderstood.

I dont use it to see out the back window, but it is perfect for making eyes at whoever is in the backseat or positioning it to keep an eye on my kids.

The rear view display from the camera in the middle console.

I dig it.

YMMV

I get that, but I don't carry kids anymore and that digital camera view goes away when the blinker is put on.

The software needs serious tweaking for the rear-view camera. It is like every time the blinker is put on, Tesla expects you to merge into an adjacent lane and gives the "blind spot view" 100% priority. This is blatantly wrong.

Two separate accidents I have been in were from a vehicle hitting me from behind. Both times I had my blinker on and neither time was I merging. I check my rear-view mirror often and like to see the vehicle coming up behind me that is not slowing down and getting ready to rear end me. One I was sitting at a light, stopped, no turn lane with a blinker on to make a left turn and was simply rear ended. There was no escape avenue, but I did brace for impact. The other, I was making a left turn into a driveway from a rural 2 lane highway, a car directly behind me was slowing as I was with my signal on... just as I started my left turn a third car pulls out to pass me and the car behind me, broadsiding my car as I started the turn.

The threat is behind you and like a fighter pilot (my training) I keep one eye checking six. The camera and software as currently set up do not support this. This was Sandy Munro's biggest complaint with the CT, too.

You can turn off side view mirror cameras, so that they don't come up at all. Then the rearview mirror view should stay. I haven't tested this, because I recently removed my side view mirrors, and need these cameras. I did replace my rearview mirror with a screen and a camera, so I have an "actual" mirror for reverse (Not great at night, no dimming on the screen)

Even the camera rear view mirror alone is pretty much useless. The FOV is so large that if a following vehicle is more that 3 or 4 car lengths back it is difficult to even tell if it is a car of a truck.

I hope someone comes out with a solution for the CT that addresses this problem. So far all of the aftermarket solutions I have seen are offering forward looking cameras which we don't need and suffer from the same FOV problem that leaves images too small to really be of use.

Just curious, what is the highest VIN number we have seen for a FS CyberBeast?

I picked mine up in early OCT with a 369xx, I know I have seen a 370xx posted here.

Anyone seen a 380XX?
So, what is the highest?

Also, what are some of the non-FS CB VINS?

My solution uses a camera with an FOV of about 120 degrees. It works pretty well, Its only 1080p, so I can't read licenses plates once cares get to far away, but it looks much more like a regular rearview mirror.

Original reservation on 7/19/20
Converted to Non FS Cyberbeast order on 10/18/24
VIN assigned 10/19/24
Took Delivery on 11/10/24 (was available on 11/7/24 but couldn’t due to work obligations) at the Fort Lauderdale location.
Overall build looked great, no major issues!

We absolutely love it! I like the Core wheels and Tactical Grey. I mounted my iphone 16 pro max using an ESR magsafe mount with the original new Apple magsafe charger via 3M doubled sided tape plugged in a via USB C to get the max 25W wireless charging. It is mounted almost at eye level so easy to use.

My kids love the rear screen and messing with the ambient lighting, colorizer & my 9 yo went wild with naming all the cars ?.

This thing was so damn worth the wait!!!
