I’ve never been one to get into the “vehicle” wars that seem to spark so much debate, but I found this video put up on YouTube by Hennessey Performance to be a most curious entry. Of course the purpose is to always put your offering in the most favorable light, but a modified Hennessey TRX vs a AWD Cybertruck seems a bit disingenuous. Actually, Tesla has done this same thing from time to time so all is fair as they say. At any rate, I just wanted to share. I will say the AWD Cybertruck availed itself well. While that TRX sounded amazing, I’d fancy my chances in a straight line on the track with my Cyberbeast (whenever I get issued a VIN). Regardless of your preference, what a time to be alive!

That is a LOT of heavy metal moving down the road at a very fast rate. Think they are both PLENTY fast.

AWD CT is limited at 112mph. My guess is that is the only reason the Ram was able to pull away in last 500ft.

a 600hp truck vs 1000hp truck is going to matter... wish this was the Cyberbeast racing against the Mammoth TRX... performance/$$ spent vs performance/$$ spent

" The remake of the Mammoth 900 or the Mammoth 1000 starts with one supplying a base TRX pickup that starts at $86,000. The Mammoth 1000 takes the 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 to 1,000 horsepower and 969 pound-feet of torque for another $36,950 "

Those prices are outdated. This is what I found:

Hennessey does not list the Havoc Edition Mammoth 1000's pricing on its website, but it's undoubtedly expensive. The regular Ram 1500 TRX Havoc Edition costs $104,550, while the Mammoth 1000 was priced at around $135,000. The Mammoth TRX Havoc version should be priced more than that.

According to Hennessey, the Mammoth 1000 TRX Havoc Edition is restricted to just 1,500 units. This makes it as rare as the Mercedes-Benz G500 Final Edition launched earlier this year. Think of it as a special edition of a special edition model.
The regular TRX is a lot slower than even the Dual Motor Cybertruck. And imagine the fuel expense, maintenance and repairs of the hopped up 1000 hp edition, not to mention the purchase price of at least $135K.

The video was sponsored by Shell and Penzoil. :ROFLMAO: You can't make this stuff up.

Bragging about beating the AWD instead of the Cyber BEAST with a custom 1000HP monster. Geez. Duh. I'm actually impressed how close to hangin the CT was with only 60% of the power! Now let's see the same stunt with a fully charged CB!

I hate to say it, but that hasn't been the case for me. Especially with the stealthy EV acceleration. (i.e. no attention getting super loud noise that makes everyone look)!

My daily routine for the last 6+ years, through a variety of Tesla's, is to pull out of my neighborhood, turn onto a limited access divided highway, and punch it, full throttle for a few seconds. Still gives me a smile! Then, to your point, I put it in FSD/Autopilot and let it drive the rest of the way lol.

Since getting my M3 in 2018 I will find at least one opportunity to go 0-Speed Limit when the light turns green on every drive I take.

I'm addicted to that smile.

I punch our '14 S P85 at least once every drive. It's fun, but at the same time l always wish it was the P90D. No power number is enough :)

The fascination with speed didn't start with electric vehicles, it's always been there, as long as there were cars!

I grew up in the 1960's and 1970's and the 0-60 mph or 1/4 mile time was always an important metric of any car or motorcycle, even on an economy car or a station wagon, people wanted to know how fast it was. Back then we thought a car that could get to 60 in only 6 seconds was something special, a real powerhouse, now it's weak and ineffective!

I've had the 2018 Model 3 Performance almost 6 years now and it never gets tired punching that accelerator, it feels like I can warp time and space. The downside is it's so fast I can only floor it for 3 or 4 seconds, less if I'm already driving, before I'm going illegal speeds. What I love most about it is it doesn't draw the attention of law enforcement from two blocks away like performance cars always did back in the day.

The story that fast acceleration is boring and not very desirable is a fake narrative spread by EV haters who want to minimize any advatage an EV might have. Plenty of people still love fast cars and that's never going to change.

I never race my Long Range Model X because it does not represent the capable speed of a Model X, I leave that to the Plaid Model Xs. Same here, don't race the AWD, leave it to the CyberBeasts. The FUD out there will show the race and not tell you it is the half as fast AWD version.
