For a single person, sleeping on the rear seat floor floor on a 25 inch wide air mattress with the seats folded up works pretty good. Easy reach to the rear climate controls.
What is the length that is comfortable? That is what I wanted to do.

My air mattress is 25 x 78 inches. The rear floor is about 60 inches wide so the mattress ends turn up at the doors. Good luck finding a shorter mattress. I am 5'9" tall. I sleep on my side with my knees bent even if I am in a king sized bed at home so it works for me. Probably would be cramped for those who are much over 6 ft tall.

I’m 6’ tall and it was a long night on the floor with the back seats folded up and the front seats slid forward. I put 6” of foam down so that part was good, but far too cramped for me to be comfortable.
Experience may very.?

Same height....I haven't tried it in my model Y but that also looks cramped.

Since 2019 when we got our first Tesla, we've been big fans of Tesla camping, since we can run heat or A/C so easily and efficiently.

In our M3, MY and MX, this was pretty easy, just put a mattress in the back.
I wanted this same functionality for the CT, but it wasn't easy.

I'm very much a functionality over form person, so I didn't have a problem drilling holes and doing what was required to get things the way I wanted. This is not for everyone though.

See the photos (in no particular order) for the best I've come up with so far.
For the rear, I took off the bottom seat plastic cover and found the lower seat frames had threaded bolt holes, two on the small side and three on the big side. I think they are M18x1.5. I used 65 mm bolts.

If anyone is interested, we could figure out a way to get the measurements for the holes in the bottom of the lower seat plastic cover.

With the foam getting us up to the windows, the length of the bed (window to window) is 5' 9". I'm 5' 10", so not quite enough, but pretty good. If I want to stretch out I can turn sideways a bit.

Beds are narrow but good enough for us. Not that much different than sharing the back of our MX, probably more than sharing the M3.

I think the solution is to remount the screen on a pivot so it can be slid down towards the floor and then have a custom inflatable that occupies the seats and the central area and some of the dash. Then your feet can extend from the dash area all the way to the rear seats. This would get you about 80” depending on how you position your feet. There is already a similar concept in production for the front seats of a Sprinter van that allows a kid or small person to sleep across the front seats.

I’m not sure if this is commercially viable given the CT demographic. ?
