Okay, so these guys are talking CT detailing.

Sounds like the internal Tesla stuff sucks. (Cyberwash)

I guess Littleton used isopropyl alcohol lol

I guess it scratches and swirls pretty easily.

That glossy finish makes stuff stand out more.

Littleton truck: vin 1208 (they said it will be sold to someone... Dibs)

Like most any surface.

Brute Force removal (large debris)

A lipid removing device (degreasing aka soap)

Degreaser remnants removal ( iso propyl)

Fancy stuff after for finishing (wax, ceramic, blah blah blah, 10 k cyber wrap)

Sounds like the detailer guy is a little worried about the application of finishers. Says it will be hard to get it just right.

@CyberGus
Paint is like skin. It breathes. It dries out, oxidizes. It must be washed delicately, polished, waxed and gently caressed.

Steel has no such weaknesses. With stainless, the chromium on the surface forms a resilient barrier to corrosion.

Without paint, there is little for any treatments to bond to. Of course it can be shined with oils or waxes, but these attract more dirt than they repel, and smear easily with friction or fluid.

It’s possible that a coating will be invented that adheres to the chromium and is yet stronger than it, but it hardly seems necessary.

Clean stainless as you would glass.

While I respect the expertise lol we don't know what kind of finish is on CT or if it will be anything like the delorean
The Delorean certainly has a much more course-grained finish, as it is much less shiny than the Cybertruck, with a more diffuse reflection. I will be curious to see Tesla’s recommendations for maintaining the surface appearance.

I wonder if you could do that round polishing scheme?

If you did it oriented from nose to tail, if you could get a stainless steel dragon kind of look... ;)
